Total disappointment. We ordered two 250 steaks which had different portioning of chips and salad. Steak was super dry like cardboard. Cook was over done on both. Plus the salad on Barramundi was clueless. Risotto was super soggy. Never going back again
Booked for dinner because it was our anniversary dinner and we had tickets booked for Wendy Matthews. Wendy and her band were fabulous as always. The venue and the food, unfortunately do not have the same quality as the entertainment. Bonus points for the balloons on the table. The mushroom risotto was flavourless and undercooked, with a distinct touch of a chef who has lost their passion and didn’t want to be there. The roast of the day was bland and as previous people have mentioned the Yorkshire pudding was overcooked and hollow. The order took almost an hour to arrive, the beer garden and restaurant weren’t as busy as I’d expected for a Friday night with a ticketed live gig, so unsure what the issue was. I went inside to get some water after waiting over half an hour for the drinks that we ordered and the self serve water was empty, but the bar staff were busy. I asked a staff member if we could get more water, but obviously the wait staff are not cross trained to fill water as apparently this is a bar staff issue. The bar where the ticketed event was supposed to be held, was not prepared for doors opening, no chairs, security staff unsure of what their role was and ticket holders advising them the best way to organise and set up for the event, and also doing the work for them by helping to set seating out and rearrange tables. The staff also seemed unsure about checking tickets and handing out wrist bands for paid ticket holders. Towards the end of the event, the fire alarm went off. Not one staff member seemed to know what to do, nobody gave instructions or advised on safety protocol or evacuation procedures or whether it was necessary to evacuate. Instead, the band played on given the lack of information and concern.
Absolutely shocking food…. I ordered crumbed chicken only to be told that everything is fried in the same fryer with the seafood EVEN THE CHIPS. So everything that say vegan/vegetarian isn’t actually as it’s cooked in the same oil. Anyway they came out and warned me which was very nice of her they gave me the roast instead and it was beyond disgusting… it was not a roast it was a forequarter chop that had been deboned….. that was never cooked in the oven…. Covered in jelly like fat it was inedible. Also the Yorkshire pudding was soooo overcooked it was hollow and but… Very disappointed Beware if you have allergies and think ordering a bowl of chips is safe… it’s not.
Absolute hole of a dump. Poor service. Ordered dinner in a fairly quiet night (less than a dozen tables), ordered at 6, followed up at 7 and the muppets hadn’t even put it to the kitchen yet!! Food was rushed and came out 7.30. pork ribs $45 was raw. Returned for refund. Crap food and crap service. Food poisoning waiting to happen!! Lucky Maccas is next door…
Please when you advertise a concert and we buy a ticket that says 7pm and the artist we paid for and went out of our way to see is still not on at 9.15pm there's something VERY wrong AND WE HAD TO MOVE OUR TABLE NOT HAPPY given i I came early to get a good seat I will definitely not be coming back I didn't want to wait 2 and half hours to see an artist I paid for. If there's a support act THEN definitely mention that Very frustrated I don't mind paying for an artist but not if I have to wait hours before they come on which means a very late night and SOME of us have to work in the next day
