Oaks Gold Coast Calypso Plaza Suites is centrally located in the heart of Coolangatta, minutes from the airport and a variety of Gold Coast attractions located opposite the beautiful Coolangatta Beach. It was built in 1998 and was recently renovated in 2010. The resort's focal point is a spectacular free-form lagoon pool with landscaped tropical gardens. The location is exceptional with everything you need within walking distance. Highlights at this beachfront property include free self-parking, a spa tub, wifi, games room, 24-hour reception, gymnasium, and in-room kitchenettes that come equipped with a refrigerator and a microwave. A coffee/tea maker, a hairdryer, and a phone are also available. The Calypso Plaza by Oaks Coolangatta features one and two-bedroom self-contained apartments with a full kitchen and laundry facilities, most with sheltered balconies that provide ocean or hinterland views. The dual premier room is very spacious with 2 large full-sized rooms, one bathroom each & Central kitchen plus a dining area. Have stayed here several times over the years, this place has really deteriorated, both with service and cleanliness. Booked a 2-bedroom and 1-bedroom apartment for three couples, requested they be close together - they were as far apart as physically possibly (one at each far corner of the complex and on separate floors). Overall cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired, freezer compartment of fridge totally blocked with ice, reported it, but no one came to fix it. One bathroom floor constantly wet for some reason. Prime position in Coolangatta, but we will be looking elsewhere next time.

We simply love this property. Check-in is seamless and easy parking prior to check-in. Parking is easy. The rooms are very clean and well appointed. The staff members are amazing and ever so helpful. The pool is clean and beautiful with plenty of outdoor furniture - even when it’s busy. The location is amazing!! Get here and you don’t need a car. Again - we love it!

At first had a terrible experience this time staying, got the wrong room as to what was advertised, the English lady at the front desk was rude beyond belief and ignorant, once we cleared up the miss understanding she tried to charge us another 300$ to get the room we paid for. Then we met Val, and Oh My God she was a life saver, very professional, kind and went above and the standards that I would expect from a 5 star hotel, Val made sure to get us a better room, and gave a choice even, which allowed us to get an amazing view, she even personally came to our room to make sure everything was fine which turned my Wife's Birthday back into the holiday we wanted, I seriously can't speak more highly of the service we received from Val, if I could give a rating it would be 100/10, we will definitely be back again, and I'll make sure we deal with Val directly, because once you deal with the best the others just can't compete. Thank you Val the view from Room 451 is spectacular.

Amazing place I can 100% suggest it! Great people, easy access to the beach, awesome swimming pool. The rooms have a small kitchen with everything you need and there’s a wash machine in the toilet which is really useful in a face sea hotel.

Absolutely loved this place! The rooms are exquisite, the check in was a breeze and the staff are really friendly and happy. The kitchen is set up beautifully and has all of the nice things. Car park is underground which was fantastic and the pool is phenomenal. Short walk across the beach and there’s a great Physio across the road and cafes everywhere!
