Went for the breakfast as we had a voucher. Food was mediocre, i wouldn't like to pay for it out of pocket, the food was lacking seasoning and creativity. Has potential to be a great place with the view but currently not Upto standard with the options around.
During this stay at Peppers we had Three breakfast buffets and two dinners at Hyde and overall the restaurant surprised me well on the positive side! Breakfast buffet continental section is not big but had all the breakfast basics except for cold meat and cheese. We particularly liked the small Acai section on Tuesday(did not got a picture sorry). The food in the hot cooked to order part was delicious! We particularly loved the Mediterranean Avocado with the delicious nutty cheese and beautifully grilled artisan bread. they were not huge portions but complemented by the cold buffet it was very sufficient… unless piling up the plate with bacon is part of your breakfast buffet must. :) The only big negative was the coffee station… below average breakfast buffet coffee machine quality. The ladies and gents working there were great except for this one girl in black on Friday morning that was rather not nice when we already had to wait fair bit for a table… hence not five star here… The dinner menu is DEVINE! Our favourite were… almost everything! The pea pasta did not sound much but it was so nice with just the perfect spice level and perfect pasta we ordered twice. Thank you Hyde Paradiso!
I have lived in the SOUL building for five years and have visited Hyde Paradiso three times, including today. I thought I’d give it another chance, as it’s been two years since my last visit. Unfortunately, each time has been disappointing. Two years ago, the food was decent, but the service was extremely slow despite the place being nearly empty. Three years ago, the service was also slow, and the food was unappealing. Today, I decided to try again since I didn’t have eggs at home. I ordered something basic: eggs on toast with sides. I asked for a high table, received a menu, and only then realized it was a $38 continental breakfast. All I wanted was eggs and water. The water and cutlery arrived promptly, but after 15 minutes of waiting and asking a fellow diner how to order, I had to track someone down to take my order. The food arrived quickly—within five minutes—but once again, it was disappointing. The toast was barely toasted except for the edges, and my medium-poached eggs were almost hard-boiled. Out of curiosity, I checked the buffet, which had a sad selection of food, and returned to my table to finish my glass of water. At no point was I informed it was a continental breakfast until I saw it on the menu. When I went to pay my $38 for undercooked toast and overcooked eggs, the staff member asked how my meal was. I politely shared my feedback about slow service, poor food, and consistency with my past visits. Instead of engaging, she silently looked at the EFTPOS machine and slid it toward me. If you’re going to ask for feedback, at least acknowledge it. Hyde Paradiso, you’re located in PEPPERS SOUL, a prestigious building, but your restaurant is letting it down. Get your act together. Maybe I’ll try again in two years, or hopefully, by then, it will be something else entirely.
Breakfast Highly recommended, the buffet to start and then you can order a menu, we ordered a very tasty and filling breakfast burger, my boyfriend was happy and I ordered a delicious Mediterranean avocado. We also ordered delicious and large ice coffees. Isabel served us very kindly and attentively. Pleasant music and a beautiful view of the sea. Highly recommended, I will definitely come back.
Went for the beach side brunch and our expectations were fairly low thankfully. Didn’t receive one of the courses despite asking for it a couple of times, drinks got forgotten and service was incredibly slow even though only a handful of people in there. Food was pretty average and wasn’t really what we would expect at $110 per head. The table we sat at hadn’t been cleaned properly either, a lot of room for improvement!
