This is a very decent hotel. I was recognised as an IHG Diamond Member and had a room upgrade of one category which I was grateful for. All the staff I interacted with her very professional and friendly. The rooms are well appointed, spotlessly clean, and very functional. Breakfast in the restaurant was a very decent offering but they do charge extra if you want a Barista-made coffee, so be aware of that. Parking next door is at the Auto Park and easy to access. Only 2 small and 1 big negative from my perceptions: The water pressure in the shower is just ok, not great and the floor of the shower is exceptionally slipper when it's wet - maybe having a rubber non-slip mat in each room would be a good idea? The biggest negative for me was the lifts. Whoever designed this hotel.... what were they thinking only having two lifts for all the floors above Level 10? Over a 2 day stay I probably waited about a total of 20-30 minutes for lifts either going up to my room or back down to the restaurant/lobby. I really liked this hotel, but the waiting time for lifts does put me off going back again in the future.

The quality of this hotel was not what I expected. The cleanliness when entering the room was adequate but still had some dirt marks on the duvet and what appeared to be food marks on the wall by the entryway. The bed had no top sheet which I suppose is now considered a luxury item and so the sleep that my husband and I had was not restful. Without a top sheet, we felt that it was too hot under the duvet and too cold outside of it. Although we had control of the air conditioner, we had a baby in the room with us who was comfortable given that we had brought our own sheets and bedding for them from home. I was also surprised to find that the Crowne does not stock their minibar with anything besides a small box of milk for coffees and two bottles of water. The view left much to be desired as we stared out into other people's appartments across the road. Would have been nice to have been given a room with a view of the city or hills considering we were only staying for one night as a birthday celebration. Additionally, at breakfast in the morning, it was very busy and something had clearly been burnt in the kitchen as the whole dining area was smokey. The smokey air quality paired with the crowds of people meant that breakfast wasn't quite the relaxing family experience we had hoped for (especially when you're paying more than you would for a nice cafe meal down the road). Finally, I feel I should mention that the pool area is quite small and has very few pool lounges/seating options. I understand that for a city hotel space is not something that is easy to come by, but it was a little frustrating that for our only night at the hotel, we struggled to find a place to sit and relax. Overall, I doubt I will stay at the Crowne Plaza again and in future, I will recommend other hotels that I have stayed at downtown.

Me and my wife stayed at Crown Plaza Adelaide on Boxing Day for one night to visit family and we absolutely loved our stay. The key highlights for us was the spacious room with a lot of space to just move around. Another was the customer service, the reception person, Tonny, who checked in us was so funny and made sure we had everything we need and after confirming we were members, offered us both a free room upgrade along with complimentary late check-out. But without doubt the biggest pro of Crowne was the breakfast! The spread of options was unbelievable with so many options along with on demand orders including omelettes & eggs benedict made to order. Overall, it was a great experience for our short 24-hour trip to Adelaide, in large part to the service quality provided by Crowne Adelaide.

Have stayed here several times. Our most recent trip was disappointing. Our original room smelled and had rubbish left under the bed. The concierge was extremely helpful and moved us to another room. This room was fine, but again had not been properly cleaned. We found a set of keys under the bed and a toenail on the floor. Overall, for the price you would expect at least some free movies (not this Chromecast rubbish).

Our stay at Crowne Plaza Adelaide was average and did not fully meet expectations. While the staff were friendly and helpful, and the bed and linen were very comfortable, there were several issues that affected our experience. The room was not properly cleaned and had an unpleasant smell, which was disappointing for a hotel of this standard. Although the room amenities were acceptable, cleanliness should be a priority. The heated pool was not actually warm, and the pool area was not clean, which was quite disappointing. The view from the room was nice, and the bar staff were friendly, but these positives did not fully make up for the issues. The car park is conveniently located, however, it is very expensive, adding unnecessary cost to the stay. Overall, this hotel has potential, but improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and value for money are definitely needed.
