•About the venue
National Wine Centre Of Australia (NWC) is Adelaide’s premier medium-sized conference and event facility offering 5-star services with in-house catering, audio-visual facilities and event management services. The Centre hosts a broad cross-section of meetings and events, including corporate functions, product launches, private parties, weddings and fundraisers. The Centre’s unique architecture, designed to represent a wine barrel, has seen it win numerous awards for its use of natural light, earthy metal and wood textures, including the Royal Australian Institute of Architects Award. Situated alongside the stunning Adelaide Botanic Gardens, the NWC is also an Adelaide tourism icon offering Australia’s largest wine-tasting experience, dining, interactive wine education, group tours and wine courses. Built in 2000 and officially opened in October 2001, the NWC’s point of difference is its spectacular geographical position, clever design, pillar-less event spaces offering a flow of natural light, and exceptional multi-award-winning catering service and flexibility. Six rooms of varying sizes enable the NWC to offer a function venue for 10 to 1000 guests. In-house event management and conference facilities, including state-of-the-art technical and audio-visual equipment provide full flexibility for any type of function. The outdoor terrace areas have views overlooking the Botanic Gardens, providing a beautiful backdrop to complement the unique event rooms. Their extensive cellar compliments their award-winning event menu featuring premium, locally sourced produce. Their knowledgeable staff match food to wine – either on consumption or in a package resulting in an event that leaves guests with a highly memorable experience. Visitors to the Centre can experience the winemaking process from the vine to the bottle through their interactive Wine Discovery Journey and complete the experience by tasting fine Australian wines or enjoying a meal from the seasonal a la carte menu at the ground floor bar. The NWC experience is perfect for everyone from the complete novice through to the wine connoisseur.

Even though I could stayed for a short while, I have enjoyed so much tasting variety of Australian wines from all regions. I got two wines and both taste great. Also, I like the tasting system you’ll get a tasting card in exchange for your payment card(credit card). Insert the tasting card to the machine and select the amount that you would like to drink. After finished tasting you will pay all amount that you have tried. The staff were really gentle and kind as they have wraped my wine bottles to do not touch two bottles each other. I would like to visit again with my friends. Thank you for your great service🍷
It’s an astonishing exhibition of wine bottles. To be specific, there are 120 wines stored. Plus a relaxing atmosphere that people can really enjoy themselves. On the second floor, people can learn about the history and background of wine making as well as smell their unique fragrances.
You can come here from inside Botanic garden. They have a lot of wines to test with very modern system. They give you a card, insert the card to the machine, choose the wine and the amount you want to test, press the button and the wine comes out. The prices are from 3.7 dollars to 8 dollars for 25 ml of wine. I like the experience.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Truly Exceptional Experience, Thanks to Clara! I recently visited the National Wine Centre, and the highlight of my experience was the exceptional service I received from Clara at the reception. From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with the warmest smile and an incredibly professional demeanor. Clara's attention to detail and genuine care for ensuring that every guest felt welcome was remarkable. Not only was she knowledgeable about the venue and its offerings, but her friendly and approachable nature made the entire experience that much more enjoyable. Clara went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and made sure everything flowed seamlessly. Her dedication and passion for her work were evident, and it's rare to encounter someone who truly loves what they do as much as she does. The National Wine Centre is a stunning venue, but it’s the outstanding staff like Clara that make it a truly memorable experience. She absolutely deserves recognition for her hard work, and I believe she is more than deserving of a raise for the way she enhances the guest experience. Thank you, Clara, for making our visit so special!
View @ National Wine Centre Of Australia. . Despite being more of an event and conference space, the small exhibit space and gallery here is informative and well curated. . Was also chuffed to find a wine tasting area with 120 labels to try.
