  • Features professional lighting and sound, staging materials and audio-visual equipment.
  • Plenty of on-site parking and close to public transport.
  • Offers sprung floor for theatre and dance performances and automated retractable tiered seating.

One of the largest outer metropolitan arts venues in Australia, Frankston Arts Centre was designed by renowned Australian Architect, Daryl Jackson, and incorporates an 800 seat theatre, five exhibition gallery spaces, a function centre, a 200 seat black box theatre, and a creative arts hub. Each year approximately 160,000 people visit Frankston Arts Centre, with over 50% of visitors from outside the Frankston municipality, most notably from the Mornington Peninsula and Western Port regions, as well as Melbourne's Bayside suburbs. Its technical capabilities and 23m flytower literally place it above other venues in the area. It’s a preferred venue for many international touring companies and well-renowned artists, as well as iconic Australian arts organisations.

Well, what an awesome venue! It has everything you could want, from easy underground parking at affordable prices to a high-quality sound system and large cushy seats that ensure you have an enjoyable experience. I saw Gavin Wood's Countdown show, and it was one of the best presented and performed shows I've seen this years thanks in part to the great choice of venue! 5 stars!

Best theatre in South East Melbourne (or anywhere..but I'm biased). Not a bad seat in the house, great capacity (upstairs + down), patrons are the friendliness (we're like that on the 'ninch!..short for Peninsula) and a wine bar to quench your thirst..you can't beat that!

We attended the Daryl Braithwaite concert at The Frankston Arts Centre. We had 2nd row seats. The view was brilliant! The seats were so comfortable.!! We are a pretty old audience now, having attended Sherbet concerts since the 1970s. I know I so appreciated the comfort of the seats. The venue was easy to find, and parking was available on site and in surrounding streets. We found off street parking within a 5 minute walk. Would have loved to have more time to look at the art work displayed on the walls. I am looking forward to a repeat visit for the Arts Centre and for Daryl.... what a star performer (I know I am biased)! He is soooo good. Good on Frankston Arts Centre for having such high-quality acts!

The Business Excellence Gala Awards Dinner 2024, held last Friday on 29 Nov 2024 by the Frankston Business Collective at the Frankston Arts Centre, was a truly memorable occasion, and we extend our deepest gratitude to the incredible team at Frankston Arts Centre for their role in making the event such a success. The venue proved to be the perfect setting for a prestigious night like this. The hospitality team was exceptional, providing attentive and friendly service throughout the night. Dietary requirements were managed seamlessly, ensuring all guests were catered for without any issues. The food was outstanding, with every course thoughtfully prepared and presented, leaving our guests thoroughly impressed. A special mention to the AV team, who demonstrated exceptional professionalism and calmness amidst a dynamic environment with many moving parts! A big thank you goes to the entire team - Lucinda, Rachel, Kate, Michael H, Anda and Josh plus many others who helped us in the entire process plus for their flexibility and professionalism in handling last-minute changes. Their commitment to excellence and their attention to detail were evident in every aspect of the night, making it an event to remember. We are incredibly grateful for the partnership and support of the Frankston Arts Centre and look forward to working together on future events!

Been here a few times now, even though it’s a long way from home, because they have a good selection of entertainment. It’s a lovely theatre, very comfortable. We enjoy going to concerts and are prepared to travel to Frankston because there’s very little in the northern suburbs.
