Had a wonderful experience at Bang Bang through their bottomless brunch! The drinks were flowing, the food was amazing and came out at perfect times. Cassie was our waitress and she was lovely and super accommodating. Would 100% dine again.
Such a beautiful spot in Elsternwick. Love how this place is very accessible by car and train. This spot offers a range of tasty fusion which is perfect for everyone’s need. They have both indoor and outdoor seating for 2 people or bigger groups too. Out of the dishes we’ve tried, my favourite surprisingly are the veggies - asparagus sisig and the broccolini too. the veggies in these 2 dishes were nicely cooked with the right texture and sauces. although the asparagus sisig is a little bit on the sweet side, it actually complimented the crunchiness of the asparagus and chewiness of the mushroom too. Their crab wafer is also something i would highly recommend. would love to have more of this, the swimmer crab toppings is very generous with the right amount of sauce, wouldn’t mind having more of this next next time. Lastly, their service is top notch! the staff who assisted us from start to end, cassy was very helpful. she’s friendly, accomodating and quite attentive to our needs. she made sure each of us were comfortable providing us with water, napkins and even check in on us from time to time.
What a wonderful dining experience! Came here on a weekend dinner and it was the perfect spot for cocktails, small eats and dinner where dishes are shared! Our favourite dishes are the Massaman Curry, Chargrilled Black Angus Steak, Pad Thai Prawn and Blue Swimmer Crab Wafer but all the dishes we had including dessert was amazing! The venue has a great vibe with plenty of indoor and outdoor dining which is the perfect spot to have a chilled dining experience with friends and family. Staff and service is friendly and helpful. The staff we had explained the banquet and how to best order dishes so there was enough food for everyone! Highly recommend and cannot wait to return!
I’ve come here a few times now for dinner and I have enjoyed each time. Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to take any photos as I’m always having a long awaited catch up but I can definitely vouch the food is delicious! It’s a nice space and the service is pretty quick and friendly. All their sauces are so tasty and go very well with the dishes! I would recommend for starters to get the kingfish sashimi (I always ask for extra sauce, it’s sooo good - tangy with a little bit of heat), the wontons (again the sauce is delish, also tangy & perfect with the wontons), & corn ribs. The popcorn cauliflower is hit & miss. Can be quite oily. The edamame definitely nice to have with your drinks while waiting for the dishes to come out. For mains the barramundi is cooked really well and the half duck is huge, I would order a side of baos to go with them. The pad Thai is a bit on the small side for a noodle dish. I would suggest a side of the papaya slaw which is the perfect accompaniment for the mains and the roti is a good side to mop up the sauces. For 2 people I would go for 3 starters, a main & 2 sides and you should be nicely satisfied. Not the most affordable place for Asian fusion. It costs around $170 with 2 cocktails plus have a surcharge of 10% at weekends. It is delicious though and I will be back again. Happy hour 4-6pm from Thursday onwards. Service is friendly, food comes out quick and it’s got a nice outdoor area for the sunnier days.
Super aesthetic and cute on a day with great weather. We went there for lunch and were seated undercover but also with a lot of sunlight. Perfect seating spot. The service was great but very frequently came up to us. The servers were very nice and helpful. The food. Honestly it wasn't anything special. The one main thing of note is that the cost of the food definitely does not align with the portion size. If compared to similar restaurants that boast an Asian fusion kind of cuisine, the dishes here are extremely underwhelming. We got the pad Thai, massaman curry, barramundi, sashimi, chicken bao and rice. The curry was fine but there was little meat surrounded by a couple of potatoes with a curry base that had too many solid pieces of spices. Ground spices would've been a better choice. The sashimi was delicious with the basil oil being so flavourful and the added textures were a delight. The barramundi came as a fillet in some broth. This broth was delicious and clear and the barramundi was cooked well. The barramundi didn't work too well with the rice as the broth was clear and too runny to be eaten in those plates. The pad thai wasn't too bad but again it wasn't anything special and not what you would expect for the price point. We ordered drinks as well and the cocktails were great. Overall I don't think there was a wide variety of dishes to choose from. I probably wouldn't visit again but might try the feed me menu they do have. Just compared to other similar restaurants with literally the same menu, I wouldn't choose this place over the others.
