23-25 Hardware Lane, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia
Rooftop Bar
•Though it may sound like the Melbourne consulate for Italy’s much-loved bitter red aperitif, Campari House is actually the latest incarnation of an old-school Italian bistro that opened its Hardware Lane doors in 1968. A fantastic five-level hospitality experience reflecting Melbourne’s diverse restaurant and bar culture. Consisting of a ground-floor restaurant, a level 1 guest room, a level two Lounge, the Rooftop Bar and a secondary Rooftop, the Soda Bar. The level 1 exclusive function space, The Guest Room is a beautiful, versatile, light-filled space featuring a striking timber bar, an impressive antique mirror filled with natural light during the daylight hours and set for evenings with tea light candles throughout. The Campari House signature stained glass private booths located in the Lounge are also available for hire and ideal for intimate meetings or exclusive group bookings in the evenings. The Rooftop can accommodate private functions for up to 80 guests, with the smaller, city-facing Soda Bar hosting up to 50 guests. Catering for cocktail events of up to 110 guests, sit-down dining for 70, or corporate conferencing from 10 people, any of the fresh spaces are sure to impress. Campari House is set to make its mark in this established precinct. Showcasing modern Italian-inspired cuisine that utilises both locally sourced and sustainable ingredients, they aim to challenge Melbourne’s unique dining culture while staying true to their traditional roots. As each function is unique, let them help devise a package to suit your individual needs. You can depend on the dedicated and experienced function staff to create and execute events of the highest standard. From crafting palate-pleasing menus to suggesting special touches that make every event truly memorable, they will create the perfect setting with exacting attention to detail.

Campari is a chill roof top bar. Make sure you come during happy hour as they have really good deals. Food was good, although this is not the place to get stuffed. Staff was extremely friendly even though they messed up our order, they surely made up for it! No need for reservations, walk-ins are welcome. Good place for dates or catching up with friends in the CBD.
TLDR: tasty pizza, cold chips, extremely slow service, pricey Full review: after hours work event on the rooftop. Food arrived over 1 hour after ordering, even though it was food that's generally quick to prepare: Antipasto platter, chips, pizzas, cauliflower arancini balls, stuffed "mushrooms". More, the chips arrived cold. I guess at least they were still crispy. The pizza was really delicious but not worth an hour wait. The stuffed mushroom was $16 for just the one singular mushroom.
What a excellent service and delicious food!! 100% recommended!! We shared Stuffed mushrooms, fetta and parmesan, we couldn't order anything better as an entry. Main plates were Margherita pizza and 300gr of Striploin grass fed no words to describe the taste and softness of these dishes!!!
Been here twice. The rooftop here is quite a chilled out spot. It's always crowded and drinks and food are reasonably priced. You won't get the view of the city skyline, but if you want to hangout in an open area, then this is a good place. Their pizzas were good. Had their soft shell tacos with prawns as well, which was quite good.
Could not fault my first dinner visit here. Booked with the fork's 50% off food offer and they did not lack in any aspect! Located on the quieter side of hardware lane. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgable. Told out straight off what wasn't available on the wine list and made a recommendation. Didn't appreciate the 2nd waiter over pouring our $70 bottle of bubbly (lost some to the table haha) but he was apologetic and disppointed it happened for the first time in 3 years of working. Antipasto was one of the best i've had. Perfect mix of cold cuts, cheese, pickles and grilled veg. All our mains came out at the same time and were cooked well. Ravioli, lamb cutlets & t-bone steak. Shared the cocolate mousse. Different in texture, but flavours and presentation were there. Thank you for a great night out. Excellent service, food and wine. Very much worth visiting even without the 50% offer. Hoping for same level and consistency on our next visit...there will definitely be a next visit ;)
