Citadines is everything and more from customer service to the rooms the location and the cleanliness all throughout the establishment. I cannot tell you how immaculate this hotel is upon arrival. Customer service was a 10 out of 10. The rooms were warm sufficient light and for a basic room I had a pretty good view. The room is a spacious comfortable and have everything you need the facilities are well presented as well. There is updates needed but everything in the sparkle sauna swimming pool and gym work relatively well. The hotel is in a awesome location located next to plenty of fast food and Asian restaurants and also the big shopping centre. The Emporium will be staying at this hotel again and will recommend this to friends and family.
I would definitely stay here again. The free clothes washing facilities is absolutely the best service for travelers. So easy and convenient to get your clothes clean while on a longer trip. We got an upgraded room to one of the suites. Amazingly spacious. So nice to stay in. Location is also amazing. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. They should be rewarded. Will definitely recommend anyone saying in central Melbourne to stay at the Citadines.
Location is good but that's really all it has going for it. Mattress on the bed was old and sagging, sheets were still dirty (black hair on them, I'm a blonde and shave 😂). Toilet constantly ran, water pressure and temperature would fluctuate wildly in the shower. No breakfast option or bar either. Staff were friendly though and directed to the best spot for a few shopping items I needed.
We checked into a room without air conditioning. We went down to inform the front desk. Dylan, the hotel staff member on duty, assured us he would check the air conditioning in our room soon. After waiting for about 30 minutes with no one arriving, I called again and he only came to inspect. I reiterated that there was no air conditioning and that we were feeling suffocated. I requested a room change, but Dylan informed us that all their rooms had similar air conditioning systems. I questioned him, "How about summer?" He admitted that their rooms are hot condition in summer as well. He proposed turning off the air conditioning and allowing cooler outside air to enter, or even we should consider traveling to Queensland instead of Melbourne! I find it unacceptable that a hotel personnel spoke to a guest in this manner! Is this the type of training that a Group provides to hotel staff? However, another hotel personnel, named Jacky (She was the one assisted us on checked in) has relocated us to a slightly better room and the air conditioning is working.
Great location in central city near lots of quality eating places and convenience stores. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The facilities are excellent with a great lap pool and well equipped gym. The views from the upper floors are OK, although not exceptional. There is a lot of wastage of water with having the shower on for at least 5 minutes before it even starts to warm up.
