Great location. I would say the hotel is cheap and cheerful though! You get what you pay for I guess! The rooms were fine and smart. Could have done with a bit of a deeper clean. Lots of dust in crevices and skirting boards. The rooms are not sound proof at all… you can hear peoples conversations as you walk past. Bed and pillow comfy though! On one day we put a do not disturb on our door as we didn’t want our room made up as we were only there 2 nights, but housekeeping ignored that and entered the room anyway when we weren’t there, which I didn’t love in going to be honest.

Melbourne is full of great hotels - this isn't one of them. Our experience at this hotel was terrible. The photos of the room bear little resemblance to the actual room - when we complained to reception staff they swapped us to a slightly better room. However, the rooms are dated, cramped, the shower is dirty and the furnishings are sparse and cheap. When we checked-in to the room there were no toilet rolls, no toiletries in the dispensers, and no milk in the fridge. We asked that this be corrected when we were out all of the following day - when we returned the next night, they hadn't been corrected. The following night we returned and were still waiting on the dispensers being filled. For the price that we paid for this room, we could have, and should have, enjoyed a far better service. There is absolutely no chance that we will ever come back to this hotel. Avoid at all costs - rip off.

Upon first entering the room, my experience was immediately marred by the sight of a damp, stained tissue already sitting on the table. I promptly contacted the front desk to report the issue, and they assured me that someone would be right up to address it. However, after waiting for a considerable amount of time with no one arriving, I had to go down to the reception myself. A staff member from the front desk did eventually come up to assist with the cleaning. Their solution, however, was simply to dispose of the tissue in my room's own trash bin. While I understand that hotels can be busy and that changing rooms during peak hours can be difficult—a situation my companion and I accepted without further fuss—this was only the beginning of our concerns. Our acceptance was tested further when we later discovered a half-opened carton of fresh milk inside the refrigerator. It is baffling how the housekeeping staff could have overlooked such a thing. It raises serious questions about the thoroughness of their cleaning protocols, especially given the initial issue we had already reported. Beyond the cleanliness lapses, the overall condition of the room felt aged and poorly maintained. A particularly concerning detail was the showerhead, which was merely held in place with a piece of adhesive tape. Furthermore, its mounting was so loose that it could not be fixed in position at all, making for a frustrating and awkward showering experience. In summary, between the uncleaned table, the forgotten food item in the fridge, and the general state of disrepair, this stay was far from satisfactory. The experience simply did not meet the basic expectations of comfort and hygiene.

Excellent hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are modern and clean. The pool is a nice surprise. Hint. Limited on site parking. So book ahead. Or there are plenty of local options for parking as well.

​The staff and location were decent, but I was very disappointed with the room's condition. First, the lighting in the room was very dim, which made the stay quite uncomfortable. ​More importantly, the kitchen hygiene was unacceptable. Since I needed to use the kitchen frequently, I was shocked to find that the utensils—such as spatulas and ladles—were not cleaned at all. There was visible food residue from previous guests left on them, which was disgusting. ​When I raised this issue at the front desk, the staff simply gave us some dishwasher powder and told us to wash them ourselves. However, the dishwasher in our room was heavily rusted, so we didn't feel safe using it. We had no choice but to hand-wash everything and use boiling water to sanitize them. ​Given the poor lighting and the hygiene issues, I would not recommend staying here. Management must ensure that all kitchen utensils and the interior of the dishwasher are thoroughly inspected and cleaned for future guests.
