As this is more a conference centre, it was very empty and really just a room for the night. The room was comfortable enough, especially the bed. After hours check in was easy. Reception lady was really friendly and helpful. The room was on par for the rate we paid for the busy time of the year. The pool was hidden away from the rooms area and hard to find, so I wouldn't be rushing back just for the purpose of it having a pool. There wasn't much in the way of areas/seating to relax outside, although it is a big property and you could certainly set yourself up a nice spot with camp chairs or picnic rug. Google took us a windy, narrow dirt road to get here from the Yarra Valley so we thought it was going to be an adventure every time we went out, but we went out the rear car park and followed the road to Destiny Point Cafe then from there to wherever we want to go. It was easier and bitumen all the way. So I would suggest adding that stop into maps if using google to get there. There wasn't a fridge in the room which we had read from reviews previous to staying so luckily we were aware of that. Staff were helpful with ice from there ice machine while they were there, but reception closed from around 4pm and the place seems unattended after that. There is an after hours number though if you have any questions. The split system heating in our room didn't seem to be working. But there was also an older nobo style heater, which we didn't try, so I'm not sure if it worked or not. There were extra pillows and blankets in the cupboard, which was enough for extra warmth when we were there. (Start of January) The placed is somewhat dated but for what we paid it was a comfortable bed in a very quiet and pretty area. If you like sunsets you are a stones throw away from Mount Dandenong sunset viewing area. Which was worth the short drive. Kellys bar and kitchen was also not far away and well worth the trip for dinner. Overall it was comfortable enough if you are needing a bed for the night, but not much to offer if you are hoping for resort style place to spend all day of your holiday, in our opinion anyway. Couldn't fault the staff and service though.

Stayed for 3 nights before NYE while exploring the local walks, and it was very quiet. We really enjoyed our stay in this secluded, peaceful location, using the pool, billiards and small gym. We stayed in the original wing with older rooms and pokey ensuite, but they were neat, tidy and well maintained. Greeted by a complimentary bottle of bubbly on ice. The communal dinning / lounge was stocked with urn, hot drinks and milk. A small bar fridge available for cold items. We didn't feel like driving back to Olinda at night, so cooked a camp dinner, which was awkward with no kitchen or washup facilities. Grest value accommodation, we would stay again. TIP - maps took us the long way around the windy road. Better to enter via Link Rd into top carpark.

Booked on the same day to enjoy pool as it was hot but as we arrived at 4:30 the whole place was shut down : reception closed, pool closed (even though it is supposed to be until 7pm),... Not a single word about it Would avoid to go there

After over 2km of winding wet dirt road barely wide enough for two cars to pass we arrived at a very dated looking place. After checking in we drove around to the open car park a good 50 metres from the entrance to the rooms. The room was barely big enough for the king bed which was comfortable, there was a small desk, a single upright chair and a flat screen TV which might as well have not been there due to extremely poor TV reception. The room was cold and the airconditioner did not work properly, we had to set it as high as it would go (30) and it barely took the chill off. The ensuite shower room was tiny with barely enough room to dry oneself. I've seen bigger in caravans. A larger person would not be able to comfortably access the shower or toilet due to the position of the sink. The gap between the wall and the sink on the shower side was around 400mm and on the toilet side slightly more. (see photos) All in all a very disappointing experience. This was a one of, we will not be going back again.

Although a little remote, Panorama’s staff and service are impeccable. I stayed in the Cottage which was great except for the horrible, lumpy mattress - I think it was an old futon and we all know about futons… The blinds could do with replacing that’s for sure and maybe some curtains installed to keep in the warmth. It dropped to 10 degrees in the cottage - colder than outside. There were blankets though. No coffee plunger for those who love their coffee first thing. Lovely, fresh continental brekkie in the dining room and there’s a cool cafe just up the road for those who want a more satisfying hot breakfast. Beautiful gardens and perfect as a conference centre.
