Pub
β’Imperial Hotel boasts an incredible rooftop bar, overlooking the city and with spectacular views of Melbourne Parliament House. It is one of the oldest pubs in Melbourne and continues to be a favourite watering hole for locals and visitors alike for sports and dinner after some of Melbourne’s best plays. It has great food and a great selection of beers! It is the perfect place for your next corporate event, birthday party, and other social gatherings, as well as being the best place to watch live sport in the heart of the city.

Lovely experience at the Imperial Hotel. We visited the Imperial on Mother's Day at about 3:30pm, following a performance of The Book of Mormon, on at the Princess Theatre which is just a few steps away on Spring Street. We made a booking a few days beforehand and requested the first floor dining area for a bit of quiet, knowing the football would be shown downstairs in the bar area. It was very nice upstairs and we could hear none of the noise from downstairs, including the protest going on out the front of Parliament (which we discovered upon leaving). Our party of four had the following meals: Roast Beef, Chicken Parma, Chicken Schnitzel and Fish & Chips. All very delicious meals and would highly recommend for a fair dinkum pub meal in the city :-)
Understandable 4 ππππ place: good atmos and range of milieux, decent range of beers. You have alfresco, downstairs, standing, seated, bar stools, upstairs, sports bar, resto... It's very diverse yet coherent. Vibrant and noisy in a good way. Vintage vibe with modern features. Staff always snappy (quick not bitey), food streams out the kitchen.
Good Melbourne pub. Food was decent and the staff were helpful.Ordering using the QR code was a painful experience when using a non Australian cc. Easier to order at the bar
Nice old pub thatβs been renovated a few times to keep it modern yet classic. They have a great big rooftop overlooking spring st, and a bar on the roof and ground floors. The food menu is pretty standard pub food but done well. There are a lot of function rooms and spaces that are available to groups on the middle level.
Had a really nice early dinner here. We went for the barramundi and the chilli prawn & chorizo linguine, both were spot on and cooked perfectly. Relaxed vibe, friendly service, and a nice spot to enjoy good food and drinks.
