Celebrated my sister’s 25th birthday with some of our friends. Unfortunately the restaurant was very loud, and gave a pretentious vibe. The food was fairly average, definitely to attract a younger crowd who only stay for a quick meal, before hitting the clubs.
I attended a cocktail masterclass at Left Bank which was so much fun. Staff were lovely and so patient, since we didn’t have much experience with making cocktails. We made three different types of martini which were incredible. Looking forward to the different types of masterclasses they’ll be releasing in the following months. I will also be revisiting to try out their regular menu and drinks, as I loved the atmosphere!
Walked upon this restaurant and it was the most happening one amongst the rest. Dining was limited to an hour, food took some time to be prepared as the Friday crowd was quite large. Service staff were very welcoming, always armed with a ready smile. Food wise hands down the gnocchi was a clear winner. Plump and pillowy, easily one of the best we’ve eaten. The fried calamari was also very good. However the same can’t be said for the beef sliders. Given the price point there can be more ingredients in it. The patties were flat out dry, pretty unpleasant to eat. Perhaps it’s just one of those nights the cooking wasn’t on point, otherwise everything else was great.
Given I used to live in an apartment behind Left Bank I have dined there many times but it’s been a few years and the interior revamp is impressive. That is if you prefer to sit inside instead of amongst the Yarra views. On this occasion we were trying their new Wednesday night master classes and I thoroughly recommend the gnocchi class for the delicious food and serious value, you even get a bag of gnocchi and a container of sauce to take home. What a great hump day activity
i’ve been a returning customer here as they have a very nice location and view of the South Yarra river which is fairly need the CBD and this time, I didn’t come for a meal or drink but for the masterclasss. It was a beginner’s session I guess as we joined the sliders and ciders session where we get to make and cook our own sliders and pair it with ciders! The staffs and the chef were all very friendly and helpful. they assisted us in every step from preparation, mixing of ingredients to even cooking the patties. They were hands on and made sure every attendees are having blast. Taste wise was amazing, a lot of us were surprised how the meat was very juicy with a secret recipe which we thought wouldn’t go well but turned out, really tasty and didn’t overpower the overall beefy taste. I would definitely go back and try other sessions.
