We'd also recommend the Mantra Southbank to those with business events on the cards, like a meeting or workshop.
Easy check in Appartment was well equipped for our family and had enough utensils for cooking. Loved that the apartment had its own laundry facilities. The reception staff were very accommodating and helpful with the questions asked. Only problem was the smell in the apartment when entering. The use of deep breakfast bowls would be ideal and the bathroom just needed a deep clean.
I booked a 2 bedroom apartment for a one night stay. Walking into the room I was instantly shocked by how HUGE this apartment was. Lounge area was modern and a great sized couch (which was very comfortable). Kitchen was very dated but everything you would need for a long stay. Bath/shower combination, was very slippery and a bit challenging to get in and out of, even for someone young. The beds were extremely comfortable and very soft, which allowed for a perfect night sleep. For the price we paid…. We will definitely be back.
Stayed at the mantra with my two daughters just to spend some quality time together. It was a two bedroom corner apartment. The view was great and the size of the apartment made you feel like we all had space. We had everything we needed. The bedrooms were a good size. Bathroom is a basic colour and design but functional. I would probably suggest a bit more colour and warmth in the rooms as they are very grey. The breakfast was a buffet with a fair choice but the coffee was cold. Our overall stay was great and the staff were really lovely and parking was a breeze. I will definitely return.
Beyond disgusting. The sofa bed had stains on it, the sheet was stained, the hand towels were stained, the towels were stained, the bath tub/shower had hair in it, the toilet bowl was broken, the sheets had stains on them in all rooms. The staff were absolutely useless. The sofa bed has rubbish under neath and a charm bracelet, so it obviously had. it been cleaned. They did not even bother to clean the room or fix the beds properly. We left the same hair in the bathroom that was there when we arrived to see if they would clean it, and they did not. Absolutely disgusting. There were dead flies/mosquitoes on the ceiling. I felt so gross the entire time being at the hotel, I felt so dirty so couldn’t wait to leave. Coming from a family who travels monthly, I will absolutely never stay here again nor recommend this place. I have stayed in hotels all over the world that are ancient, yet clean. I hate this place and I would never recommend.
We arrived well before the official check-in time, but the lady at reception was fantastic. She completed the paperwork efficiently and arranged storage for our luggage so we could explore the area. When the room became available earlier than expected, she kindly called to let us know — excellent service. The room itself was well insulated from outside noise, and the air conditioning covered the entire apartment, which was very much appreciated on a hot day. Unfortunately, there were several areas that fell short. Shortly after checking in, I noticed there was not enough toilet paper in the bathroom or stored in any of the cupboards. I had to go back to reception, where a male staff member told me to “look under in the cupboards.” I had already checked thoroughly and confirmed there was none I'm not an idiot .This lead to realising there was also no hand wash so we had to get the bottle off the wall and add water to get some suds. Later that evening, when it was time to shower, we found there was also no shampoo or body wash in the bathroom the only thing we had was conditioner in the bottles. This left us with the option of returning to reception again at 9pm or waiting for someone to come to the room, which felt intrusive. For a room costing $300 per night, these are basic amenities that should already be provided. Additionally, there was a large piece of broken glass on the floor in the children’s bedroom, raising serious safety concerns. Combined with the lack of basic supplies, this suggests shortcomings in the room inspection and cleaning procedures. Overall, while the front desk service was excellent, the property needs to review its housekeeping and quality control processes to meet the standard expected of a hotel chain such as Mantra.
