We chose this hotel due to the close proximity to the airport as we had approx 9 hours between a domestic and international flight. Reasonably priced at $179. Free return shuttle bus to the airport. We appreciated being able to check in a few hours earlier than the standard time of 1400 as we had to leave at 2100. The room was pleasantly decorated and clean. We had lunch in the restaurant downstairs. There was a medical conference on so they were under the pump, but our meals were ok overall, although quite expensive. The prosciutto panini was the standout, although the chips were undercooked. The salt and pepper calamari was ok, it also needed a bit more cooking. We ordered the black angus beef burger for dinner via room service and that was delicious! Staff were friendly and there was no wait for the shuttle bus. Highly convenient and recommend for a transient stay.

A clean, comfortable and modern establishment that is priced very competitively. I stayed for an early morning flight and couldn't be more impressed. The location is a bit far from the airport itself for my liking, but that's made up for by frequent free shuttles that made transfer a breeze. The TVs are a bit dated and slightly finicky to deal with, but I managed to make it work in the end. Note that the restaurant is rather pricey and there's not a lot of alternatives. However, that's honestly to be expected at hotels. Overall an excellent experience that I'd recommend for anyone looking for a good value airport hotel. Definitely a fantastic introduction to the brand and to accor's portfolio as a whole.

What an awful hotel! Although the room was well set up, our experience with dinner was worse than awful. We waited almost exactly an hour between ordering our meal and it arriving, despite having asked the wait staff what was going on. (once we'd actually managed to locate one of them, which was much more difficult than it should be, they being extremely adept at failing to see any of their customers). We also told them about being type 1 diabetic, and needing to consume carbs that had already been accounted for with insulin. They could not have cared less. When the food arrived, it was not at all as described. The 'lightly dusted' calamari was fully battered, then deep fried in oil that was clearly well past its change over date, all thrown unappealingly onto barely cooked and lukewarm chips. Truly disgusting. The only edible portion was the salad, and that only just, being greased up with an unappealing dressing. We complained to the concierge who seemed mildly interested, but took no steps to remedy this - so we retired to the room hungry and deeply irritated. As an airport hotel, surely most folk use it because they are catching an early flight, as we were - and this means having dinner in the hotel as well. The prices are high - and that would be acceptable, were the food edible. Our previous airport stay was not with Mantra - it never will be again.

I would like to sincerely thank Sabrina at Mantra Tullamarine for her outstanding customer service. After flying in from interstate, I arrived to check in and discovered that my Wotif booking had somehow been made for 3–4 March 2027 instead of 3–4 June 2026, despite my search being for the June dates. The booking was listed as non-refundable and non-changeable, and I was understandably quite stressed. Sabrina immediately stepped in to help. Rather than simply advising me to contact Wotif myself, she went above and beyond, working with Wotif on my behalf to resolve the issue. The whole process took in excess of an hour. Despite the Wotif booking restrictions, she persisted until a satisfactory outcome was achieved and my reservation was corrected. Her professionalism, patience, kindness and genuine willingness to help turned what could have been a very difficult and expensive situation into a positive experience. After a long day of travel, her support was greatly appreciated and made a huge difference. Sabrina is a credit to Mantra Tullamarine, and her exceptional customer service deserves recognition. Thank you again, Sabrina, for going the extra mile to help a stranded and stressed traveller. It was truly appreciated. 😊✈️🏨

I stayed at Mantra Melbourne Airport and had a really convenient and comfortable stay, especially for a travel stopover. The biggest highlight was the location—it’s just minutes from the airport, and the shuttle service made getting to my flight completely stress-free. My room was clean, quiet, and well-equipped, with a very comfortable bed that made it easy to rest before an early departure. The hotel had a calm, modern feel, and everything was straightforward from check-in to check-out. The staff were friendly and efficient, which made the whole experience smooth and easy. Overall, it felt like a perfect mix of airport convenience, comfort, and reliability, and I’d definitely stay here again for any early flight or layover in Melbourne.
