We celebrated my niece’s 10th birthday at O’Brien’s Ice Skating, and it was a fun experience! The kids had a blast skating around, and the party host, Emily, was fantastic—attentive and made sure everything went smoothly. The food, however, was a bit of a letdown. The kids’ pizza was cold and too dry, but the ice cream cake was really good. The skating was definitely the highlight—lots of fun for the kids, and there’s a cafe inside where you can grab coffee and some basic snacks. It’s definitely a costly affair, but overall, a good place for a birthday celebration.

It's fine, you need to hop off every so often so they can smooth the ice, sometimes it's so crowded you can't move all that much if you're a new skater. Only one entry and exit point so you feel rushed to get both on and off the ice. You have to pay if you go just to sit down and watch your children, but there isn't many places to sit that are actually comfortable. No outside food or drink is allowed which I'd expected, we just ate before we left. Hiring the skate assists (Dolphin/Kangaroo is good but don't even look away from it or the staff will swoop in and take it, which is annoying when it cost $8 to hire lol. Parking is a nightmare in the nearby carpark, do not go if there's a hockey game on! We'll be going back, sure, but it's old and kinda crusty and could use a refresh.

We love the kids hockey academy classes. They have so much fun and always look forward to it. The only downside is food options are quite limited. The cafe should be able to offer a bigger menu considering there's a full-sized kitchen. We'd love healthier or heartier options.

A really great rink. My daughter has skating lessons, and silver membership. Only disappointment has been how difficult it is to understand what is covered and what is not; and the impacts on decision-making, when it comes to spending, on this rather expensive hobby.

I am very impressed with this establishment. They have duty of care! I was very surprised but very happy that they offer free tips for beginners where they teach them to be safe and tips on how to navigate and skate. 5 minures is all it takes!! Very impressed.
