I’m going to call it; our Main Restaurant has a serious leg up on the other spaces with its supreme beachside possie. It is not at all contrived, as a lot of dining areas in multi-faceted venues can tend to be It’s a good-sized space with m...
Lovely family catch up. The foccacia with spreads was lovely. My fish and chips generous and very tasty. Another ordered the steak which was medium rare but tough so not enjoyed but they didn't charge us for it. Other meals were good. Lovely day to look out our the beach area.
Came here for New Year’s Day, the restaurant itself looks great and the service was wonderful but was ultimately let down by the food (or at least what we ordered). The Margherita pizza wasn’t great, the cheese layer was rubbery, chewy and tasteless - I ended up just ripping it off the thin base and basically ate tomato sauce on thin bread 😂 the crust was not bad, thick and chewy with a nice char but as it cooled it got really hard and was difficult to keep chewing. Not the best $23 I’ve ever spent. The porterhouse was alright, could’ve used a bit more salt (there wasn’t any on the tables) as the sauce wasn’t super flavourful but the chips and side salad were nicely seasoned.
What a great place for lunch on a summer’s day! Right on the beach at St Kilda. We had the Battered fish and chips and the Risotto. The meals were excellent. A huge fillet of fish and the batter was amazing. Loved that I could get either a small or large glass of wine !
Had a lovely lunch here. Food was good, a bit pricey. The venue is absolutely fabulous and made up for it. Great place for a catch up, to sit, relax and enjoy the awesome view and the beach! Will definitely be back!
Republica is in a fantastic spot in St Kilda, near public transport, right on the beach. There's a great walking/cycling path along the beach so get there early and take a walk to see the Solar System trail (well, some of it at least, it's 6km all up, so if you do that, make sure to bring a hat). The food is very good. I was very happy with the crispy fish with chips. It isn't cheap, but it's very nice and worth it to treat yourself. While you're there, check out the artwork nearby and take your shoes off and wade into the clear water of the bay. There's paid parking nearby, but the tram is best.
