Conveniently located with easy access to several trams. Plenty of on site parking. Large rooms and very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. And great value. I'll definitely stay here again.
Rooms had some issues with damaged benches, someone had written on the bathroom wall and an unclean fridge. But the location was amazing and the front desk was very nice, so those things didn't bother us
Fantastic accommodations and friendly staff. A stones throw away from the botanical garden, one of the best features of Melbourne. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it!
While staff are friendly and helpful the rooms were not really clean (dusty) nor were they cleaned during our week long stay. ‘Make up the room’ amounted to putting towels on the bed and emptying the bins. The toilet was only cleaned on request (no toilet brush provided) and the bathroom sink was not cleaned at all. Cleaning staff need training. The TV did not allow any streaming services. There is no restaurant because of renovations. There is no lift from the car park so we had to use the service elevator because of mobility issues. The appliances are old and inefficient. The hotel is old and the lifts are noisy. All in a 3 star hotel at best.
Location was great for getting to Rod Laver but unfortunately our 2br apartment was at the back. One room with no natural light and we had views of nothing. The beds were rock hard, the place is outdated, the spa doesn’t work, indoor pool isn’t heated, the entry to the sauna needs much larger anti slip matting as those tiles are deadly when wet. For 5 guests we had one little shower gel & shampoo/conditioner to share between us and only enough milk for one person to make one coffee. The tvs aren’t smart tvs and only have free to air which we lost signal for and the bedroom with the king size bed has a tiny little tv that you’d need binoculars to see. No windows open and no security door on sliding balcony door so you can’t let any fresh air in at all. No seating on balcony either. It’s not a luxury hotel as described unfortunately. It did the job for one night but wouldn’t recommend long stays here.
