Very polite and friendly service, made an online reservation and all went well. Got the Thursday night Set Menu for $45 and the Beef Cheeks from the main menu. Nice and fresh. Seasoned well. Good selection of drinks 🍸 👌 Little bit expensive but worth it.
Ok it's not the prettiest picture. but after a few bites I realized that this is the best burger I've ever tasted. that's why I decided to take a picture of my half eaten burger. I've tasted quite a few burgers in my life but this one is really number 1. The atmosphere is also excellent and I absolutely recommend this place.
Great location: 5 stars. Good staff: 4 stars McDonalds level burger: 1 star $26 burger with chips plus $2 for cheese or other toppings... I was hoping for at least a "good" burger. It's was rubbish. The bun was as soggy as anything. I said to the guy clearing: " it looks like the bun was microwaved, it's so soggy, it's almost wet" "Oh it's definitely not microwaved. I'm sorry, I'll tell the kitchen". That's not good enough. If Grill'd can make a great non-soggy burger for $15, you should also be able to make a great non-soggy burger for $28! I hope the manager is reading this. You're selling McDonald's level burgers for $28! Good luck sustaining that. Oh well, we learned something. The $25 Wednesday steak is a good deal 100m away at General Assembly.
Really pleasant spot by the river. If you want simple but hearty food, here is the place. There's also a reasonably sized outdoor seating area too. Picture attached was my breakfast, I chose the poached eggs on toast with no extras.
I attended the Boatbuilders Yard Deck for an event last month. Although the service and food were excellent at the start, the night did not progress well. Food: Myself and a few other guests realised towards the end of the event that some of the chicken skewers were raw on the inside. Service: I pointed this issue out to the bartender but she just disregarded me and was quite rude. Her manager came over and when I voiced my concerns, he said that the chicken definitely wasn’t like that when it was served, which makes no sense as chicken can’t uncook itself. I’ve attached a photo. The same bartender accused the guests of “drinking too quickly” and stopped serving drinks before the designated booking time was up. No guests behaved in a poorly manner, which was why this statement was surprising. We were at a 50th birthday, not an 18th. The icing on the cake would be my partner’s dad’s glasses debacle. He had left his glasses at the venue and we contacted them the following week and were told they were found. My partner went in and was then told that they must have been misplaced by the staff member who found them. It took 3 weeks for us to get a concrete answer that they were definitely lost. Although the venue was nice, the food and service were disappointing to say the least.
