The Castle Hotel

The Castle Hotel is kind of part of the North Melbourne furniture; it’s been there for a while now. This particular bit of furniture though, has recently undergone a bit of a facelift. A re-upholstering, if you will, a re-snazzing of its cushions. Basically, it’s had a giant renovation. Under new management, The Castle now boasts a pub-grub-done-fancy dining menu, as well as an especially impressive new dining room vibe. It’s less “grizzled old man hangs out at the bar”, more “take the kids for dinner” or “young professionals have a beer after work”. Which is a-ok in our eyes. The hotel features two spacious levels capable of comfortably accommodating from 30 - 400 guests. Sit down dinner? Check. Cocktail party? Check. Raucous end of year office party? Double check. The Castle Hotel is found on Courtney Street, North Melbourne. A little more specifically, that’s at the intersection of Courtney, Arden and Chetwynd streets. The 55, 57 and 59 trams are nearby, as is North Melbourne Station.
