The Emerald Peacock is the ultimate representation of a classic Melbourne bar– tucked away from public view but reaching to the skies with a vibrant rooftop. Whether you’re relaxing inside in an intimate booth or sipping cocktails on the bustling rooftop, The Emerald Peacock is truly an all season destination. Consisting of a cocktail bar, lounge, and rooftop bar – each with their own distinct ambience – The Emerald Peacock is a bit of an all-round crowd pleaser, particularly with the city after-work crowd. The venue’s Cocktail Bar does well to create a sense of vintage French charm, combining vintage foil wallpaper with lots of warm wood panelling. It all adds a touch of delicacy to an otherwise modern bar fit-out. Downstairs, the Peacock Lounge can be found. Bolder than its upstairs neighbour, this space is dark and sumptuous in decor; think luxe crushed velvets married with bold prints and Louis XV chairs. As with upstairs, there is no shortage of space – high top tables sit comfortably apart from more private booth-type seating. Food as well as drinks can be enjoyed in the Lounge, with a range of pizzas and share plates to choose from. If a room with a view is sought, then one can’t go wrong with the Peacock’s Rooftop. Bringing the whole stylised bar approach down a notch, the Rooftop is a modestly decorated space, happily allowing the skyline views to do all the talking. The Emerald Peacock prides itself in its cocktail offerings. A small but interesting number of originals can be sampled including their signature drinks the 'Cupid's Daisy – a refreshing combination of Galliano Vanilla, Pomegranate, Rose Syrup, Aperol, Lemon & Egg Whites. Craft beer such as Sample Lager, Two Birds Pale Ale and Colonial IPA all available on tap as well as a selection of Australian wines. Functions are catered for at The Emerald Peacock, with the reservation of booths in the Peacock Lounge being a popular option for small sized groups from 10 people and rooftop reservations popular for larger groups of 15 + people. DJs are a weekend feature at the Peacock, creating a chilled party vibe. The Emerald Peacock is situated on Lonsdale Street in the CBD. Swanston and La Trobe Street trams are extremely close by, as is Melbourne Central train station.

Absolutely amazing, hosted an event here for a Community Gathering. The place was amazing and a super chill vibe, they lit candles and even ended up giving our event the entire floor. Bartenders and Staff went above and beyond and were really helpful when their lift wasn't working, drinks all tasted delicious and we even discovered a new favourite liquor. Absolutely amazing experience and will use this venue again for future events! Couldn't recommend them enough

We had our engagement party celebration on the rooftop. We are from interstate and so went purely off reviews and social media vibes and honestly, this was even better then what we thought it would be. The venue was beautiful and all of the staff were beyond helpful and kind. They really made our night special right down to all the little details. We didn’t have to worry about a thing on the night- they truly looked after everything. A very special thanks to the manager on the night along with the lovely girl looking directly after us and the bartenders who were all super friendly and only added to the fun vibe! Food was amazing and the cocktails were next level! Highly recommend this venue to anyone with upcoming events. It doesn’t get much better than the emerald peacock! Can’t wait to go back again!

Right in the heart of Melbourne this bar operates over 2 levels, the first floor which offers a sophisticated vibe and the rooftop bar which is more relaxed and has views of the city skyline. Was here for a work function and despite the crowd service was prompt and there was plenty of food to snack on. Probably best suited to larger groups as it gets a bit noisy, but fun nonetheless.

Had a great time, both on level one and the rooftop. Bartender Aakash was great and when it got busy others came to back him up. Snacks were tasty too. The Vegan was happy with the cocktails also as they had a little bottle of drops that was egg white replacement.

Sunday May 26 is when I held my premier social club launch at The Emerald Peacock. Honey’s service amongst her manager and bar team exceeded my expectations for the night! Prior to the night communication was excellent and timely. Thank you for having all of us!
