The Olsen is a lovely hotel in a fantastic South Yarra location. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room was comfortable and well-appointed. Although we didn’t use the pool or other facilities, the hotel offered everything needed for a pleasant stay. Great breakfast! It’s conveniently close to the rail, surrounded by dining options, and only about 15 minutes by train to Melbourne’s CBD. Overall, a stylish and comfortable base in South Yarra—highly recommended.

The climate control seemed to turn off every few hours overnight, so I'd wake up hot and uncomfortable to turn it back on. Having to order toothpaste via room service (even if it's $0) when you just want to go to bed is just a little inconvenient. The shower head was quite low, and the handle to adjust it's height was either seized or had been broken at some point. Each thing on it's own wouldn't be too bad, but it starts to add up into a decision to stay somewhere else next time when you add them all together. The bed was comfortable, the light blocking curtains were great and the staff seemed helpful especially the cleaner/room service guy who was just really polite and helpful.

The Olsen has a good breakfast and it's a great location. Any of these art hotels are great to stay at. I used to live nearby so I went there a bit for breakfast and lunch. Not too much happening in the area, unless it's Grand Prix or a marathon/triathlon. Albert park is nice for a jog or a walk too. I really liked the area. Super safe and you can walk to the city in about 30 mins or less at any time of day or night. No need for a car. There's also the trams, pretty much on your doorstep. Oh, and the coffee is really good ... so are their croissants.

Bags taken to the room after a big shopping day. Valet parking so the car was waiting for us on departure and amazing little anniversary treat in our room for myself and my husband. Spacious rooms and nice and quiet. Relaxing little bar down stairs and everyone was so friendly.

From the moment I arrived the team were very helpful. I wasn't able to get into my room straight away as I was to early, but they were very accommodating, giving me a private space to work whilst I waited. The rooms were clean and well presented, and the amenities provided were of great quality. The location was perfect for me, with shops, restaurants, everything nearby. I would recommend staying here, and if I was back in Melbourne, would stay here again.
