Nice cozy place for great brunch! Their food was scrumptious and yummy! Wide selections of choices from mains to drinks.. portion is huge and good to share. Might be a little pricey but justifiable with the portion. Try it when you’re near.
Had a lovely family lunch. Food was very nice and yummy but there are a few things missing with the food to hit the mark. Service and atmosphere are great. Feedback on food: there was not enough hollandaise sauce with the eggs benedict to my liking (as it is served with two potato rosti). Confit duck Hash was yummy. The egg on toast (for my daughter - kid’s version) was very affordable but a bit dry (no butter). Coffee was not warm enough. Taste was good. Cold fresh apple juice: perfect.
Top Paddock has always been on our bucket list, and we were relieved the queue wasn't too long when we dropped by recently. With its airy interior, crisp white tiles and former parking signs doubling as sturdy stools, this venue gave off cool vibes in an understated way. The sleek fireplace also added extra warmth to the venue. We ordered the Eggs Benedict with crispy bacon ($25), and it sat atop a potato rosti that was perfectly cooked without being overly oily. The poached eggs were topped with saltbush, giving a slightly salty flavour with an earthy undertone. My partner was very impressed with his Confit Duck Hash ($28). The shredded duck was quite rich, yet tender and juicy at the same time. The toasted Turkish bread for a great accompaniment for this dish. The staff were very friendly, although the only slight letdown was not returning clean spoons to us after we passed them the dirty ones that came with our coffee.
Don’t mean to brag, but I’m quite an expert when it comes to pancakes, and the one from Top Paddock must be one of the best pancakes I’ve tried in my life. An ✨experience✨ for sure!! Also, the espresso martini’s are incredible… and the avo toast… and the pastries… and the coffee… just go already! It’s so worth it.
Top Paddock is a favourite of mine. Beautifully appointed with lots of indoor and outdoor seating options. Located in near the Yarra River and surrounded by furniture boutiques, it’s well worth the visit. Food is always solid brunch fare with their own seasonal twists, and supported by coffee that’s hard to say no to a second. Sometimes a bit noisy on the inside when busy, but otherwise a great location for catch ups with friends.
