About the venue
Our 690-capacity brewpub is located under the Melbourne Star Observation Wheel. With just windows separating the venue from the brewery, the sweet smell of malts and hops is carried throughout. With all of our brews offered across 20 taps, the space is perfect for a knock-off, meal with mates as well as large-scale functions. The open-plan layout blends indoor and outdoor dining options that are equipped for all of Melbourne’s weather conditions. The Eastern European pub-style food offering has been designed to accompany our signature beer list that can be enjoyed by the pot, pint or if you’re feeling adventurous our UA tasting paddle.

Urban Alley Brewery is a great spot to enjoy a quality meal at a good price, right in the middle of the entertainment district. With a spacious outdoor area and an open, welcoming indoor space, the whole restaurant has a cozy brewery vibe that feels like you’re stopping in for a beer at your local. Plus, its location in the heart of Docklands makes it a convenient place to drop by while shopping or exploring. We ordered food and drinks, and everything was excellent. My girlfriend couldn’t stop raving about the lamb kebabs, and the guys at the table were all impressed with the beer selection. They also nailed the classic parma and chips combo, which any good spot should! The service was friendly and efficient, with QR codes on the tables for easy ordering. They even offer roadies so you can take your favorite beers to go. If you’re looking for a place in the area with classic pub fare and great beer, definitely give Urban Alley Brewery a try!

Amazing food and service was quick. Every meal served was excellent in quality and taste. Friendly service. A downside, on entry, no one was available for service. Once seated, it was all smooth going.

Molly came to our table and helped us with ordering and it was just what we needed, my friend got 4 drinks for the price of two. Just smashing! I would recommend you go to this bar and order the vegan Parma and ask Molly for the QR code to get cheap drinks. She’s a bloody great asset to the place. Wouldn’t do it any other way.

We had the most spectacular experience here, with amazing food and the most wonderful staff! They made us feel welcome and always appreciated being told how good their food is (because it IS!) Quite enjoyed sipping on their Jaffa Cake Old Fashioned 😍 Absolutely blown away, one of the best drinks I've had in a long time! 10/10, we will be back all weekend!

Fresh beer, great service & tasty food. They have an incredible range of fresh local beer. You can see the brewing facilities, sit inside or outside and enjoy the atmosphere. Cool tunes add to a chilled out environment. Special recommendation: Pandora’s box hazy IPA👌
