About the venue
Our 690-capacity brewpub is located under the Melbourne Star Observation Wheel. With just windows separating the venue from the brewery, the sweet smell of malts and hops is carried throughout. With all of our brews offered across 20 taps, the space is perfect for a knock-off, meal with mates as well as large-scale functions. The open-plan layout blends indoor and outdoor dining options that are equipped for all of Melbourne’s weather conditions. The Eastern European pub-style food offering has been designed to accompany our signature beer list that can be enjoyed by the pot, pint or if you’re feeling adventurous our UA tasting paddle.

The Urban Alley brewery would have to be the best kept secret in Melbourne. My wife and I visited the Dockland precinct and found this beautiful place. We were in Melbourne for 9 nights from Western Australia and came for drinks and dinner 3 nights. The food is excellent fresh, beautifully prepared and was good value with a wide selection. Do yourself a real treat and check out the Urban Alley Brewery you will not be disappointed. It’s also in the FREE tram zone and they have a beautiful selection of beers along with a happy hour between 4-6. The staff were very friendly and helpful to and as you can tell we’re very impressed with everything. Give this brewery a go, you won’t regret it.

Urban Alley Brewery is a great spot to enjoy a quality meal at a good price, right in the middle of the entertainment district. With a spacious outdoor area and an open, welcoming indoor space, the whole restaurant has a cozy brewery vibe that feels like you’re stopping in for a beer at your local. Plus, its location in the heart of Docklands makes it a convenient place to drop by while shopping or exploring. We ordered food and drinks, and everything was excellent. My girlfriend couldn’t stop raving about the lamb kebabs, and the guys at the table were all impressed with the beer selection. They also nailed the classic parma and chips combo, which any good spot should! The service was friendly and efficient, with QR codes on the tables for easy ordering. They even offer roadies so you can take your favorite beers to go. If you’re looking for a place in the area with classic pub fare and great beer, definitely give Urban Alley Brewery a try!

For a local pub around docklands it did not disappoint. Have tried a few things and the best would have to be the Burger. The Parma/ schnitzels and the steaks are alright aswell. Only have come on pub nights where the specials are great value. Team and service here is very professional and top notch.

Some really nice beers and good food. I haven't been here in a long time and last time I wasn't impressed. They have definitely done many things right in the meantime, thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the 8 different beers I tried were good to amazing, so was the food and the trivia. I definitely recommend getting a tasting paddle. I'll be back for sure!

Amazing food and service was quick. Every meal served was excellent in quality and taste. Friendly service. A downside, on entry, no one was available for service. Once seated, it was all smooth going.
