πΏ π₯ 5 stars : π The Amateur (an April 2025 release Rami Malek movie) that I watched a week or two ago just before Easter, what a 5 stars film π€© ποΈ π½οΈ. I feel like the film missed a marketing opportunity to use the 2024 pop song πΆ "Alex Warren Ordinary song" πΆ because there's a common theme of clouds throughout the movie and I enjoy my cloudy days βοΈ βοΈ π¨οΈ βοΈ π¨οΈ βοΈ like that inscription "...into the clouds ..." if you watch carefully in the movie, π anyways. Rami's done it again, another successful hit movie β Reading online since, it's good to read how well the film is now doing, global box-office wise, for the last week or two, hooray π it's my kind of film. "into the clouds" βοΈ that was very cool. And the adorable little Renault hatch late model car from the French. π A star of the show. The connecting thing for me is how in the films I've watched the last year or two, Volker (the composer) music is awesome from The Crow (2024) through to Conclave (2024/2025). π΅πΉ π» Yes the pacing surprised me, slower than I had prepared for mentally, yet what a film. It'll be a new favourite of mine to buy when it's released on Blu-ray DVD eventually π π π Hell, I may even go watch it a second time π₯ π as it was that good of a film. As visual arts or art, it sure appealed to me π¨ππ¨ π₯π½οΈπ₯ I did take poster selfies yet google uploads often seen to get my photos stuck on "my upload is pending" for Google review photos, yet anyways, hooray Village Sunshine. Always clean, tidy, kind, spacious and the popcorn is divine πΏ that, butter π§ πππ mmmm. The coffee scene was a nice touch and the "puzzle for my puzzle" card 𧩠βοΈ were stand-out scenes β it made me think of Austin Powers, another classic of Roadshow, where Scott Evil is like "what now you're feeding him too" and Austin's humour π€ as a typical spy villain meet-and-greet scene involving lol with Austin and Dr Evil, the first film, good times, good times. Anyways enjoy the movie π₯πΏ even if you have to take a toilet break midway, enjoy the coffee scene and other iconic moments in the movie ββ coffee β
This movie theater is just awful. When we saw the reserved seats, we were totally appalled. We ended up giving up on watching the movie because we couldn't bring ourselves to sit on those filthy seats.
One of the cleanest theatres I've been to in Melbourne in recent times! The seats were clean, it had many screening halls!
We had an amazing experience at Village Cinema Sunshine, thanks to Connie! We accidentally went to the wrong theater and missed most of our movie, but Connie went above and beyond to help us. She was so understanding and provided us with alternative tickets, making sure we didnβt miss out on the part of the movie we missed. Her kindness and willingness to help truly made our day, and weβre so grateful for her exceptional customer service. This level of care and attentiveness is rare to find. We will definitely keep coming back to Village Cinema, knowing they have such wonderful staff. Thank you, Connie!
