Doode Ranch
Just went here for meeting up prior to a hot air balloon ride, then for the buffet breakfast after. It seems like a lovely, well maintained place. The buffet breakfast was nice, with all the main big breakfast style foods, such as bacon, eggs, hash browns, mushrooms, toast and coffee. Not sure about the hotel rooms, but I imagine they would be good going off everything else I saw there

My wife and I came here for a weekend away and was amazed at the quality of the venue and the service. Staff were amazing. Bathrooms were a little outdated with dripping taps but take that for what it is. Particular shout out to the gent on reception at check in, and the girl who runs the breakfast is a total gem and should be commended as such. Amazing service and attitude. Highly recommend.

We recently held our wedding here at the end of October 2024, and it was just the dream day in the dream location. Olivia and the team were so proactive and responsive in the leadup to the wedding, sourcing personalised things we wanted to include in the ceremony, and no ask was too much. If there wasn't the option available, they worked really hard to figure out an alternative. I messed up the booking times for the arbour hire for our ceremony which meant it had to be taken down mid-way through the photos/reception and I didn't even notice because everything was just so seamless. They really took the stress out of the planning and the running of the day so we could just enjoy the day. The surroundings meant we could go out and get some fantastic photos before our ceremony so we could enjoy the reception with our guests, and the staff at YVL were so helpful during the whole reception, prompting us when it was time to do things and were really accommodating, including bringing out our giant glow sticks when the time was right. We were fortunate to be able to book the Lodge bar after the reception to spend some bonus time with our guests. This allowed us to kick back, play some music favourites and just continue the good times. Afterwards there were a few items left by myself and the guests and we were able to pop over and collect them from reception, and all the staff were kind and accommodating. Thanks to Olivia and the whole events planning team, we had the most perfect day and we only wish that we could do it all over again. We wouldn't have changed anything about the day, it was everything we wanted. E & J

I loved this place. I went here last year and loved it. There is a massive golf course with many kangaroos visiting and you can get to about a couple meters close to them but approach them carefully. Because I am a child I probably looked smaller so they were fine. You can have a stroll around the golf course as well. The room was a cosy fit for four. The nice thing was that there were nice views and you could get room service because we arrived at night and were tired. I looked at the one star reviews and read about what they didn't like and checked for dirty floors or bathrooms but our room was very clean and sanitary. Good for a small getaway close to home. Highly recommend!!!!
