This was a fantastic stay for one night in Melbourne. The staff was exceptionally friendly, professional, and accommodating. We enjoyed the fun vibe and decor of the hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. The free laundry was a life saver! Wish we could’ve eaten in the vegan restaurant on the ground floor but it didn’t work in our schedule. All around a great experience.
Absolutely loved my stay here. The rooms and common areas are beautifully designed and the staff was extremely friendly. Really excellent service and I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone staying in Melbourne. The location is excellent with lots of great restaurants within walking distance and very close to the South Yarra station for easy access to the rest of the city. Rooms are a bit small, but would be perfect for a single traveler or a couple traveling together. I found the Boogie to be the perfect size for me. I want to especially commend the staff for their excellent service, going above and beyond to quickly fix any issues I had, give me recommendations, and make me feel welcome. A model of service in the hospitality industry.
Funky and quirky little place. Supposedly a “Small Luxury Hotel”. Room was small and had lots of stuff to buy but no simple amenities you’d expect from a luxury hotel (slippers, robes, toothbrush, iron/board). I’m sure it’s all in the name of “sustainability”. And the air con was not working sufficiently - the corridors were cool but the room certainly wasn’t. Despite contacting the front desk 4 times about the issue we were never offered a different room. They supposedly “reset” the aircon several times. Breakfast was included in our rate but it only includes one plate from the menu, a hot drink and one juice. That’s of course in the fine print. Everything else costs extra but nobody explicitly tells you and you get only hit with that at checkout. One morning we arrived 10 minutes before the end of the breakfast window. We got that breakfast served with a generous side of attitude. The lady at checkout was great, she tried to implement some damage control. However, we won’t return.
Lovely hotel💘 I love that they have a vegan restaurant on the ground floor, which is open for breakfast and dinner. The bed was comfortable. It was a small room, but there was a table and a sofa so we could eat together, and there was also space to do a little work. I thought it was great that there was a water purifier tap on the table. The room was stocked with snacks, nuts, chocolate, wine, beer, etc. I thought it was a very convenient service when it was too much hassle to go out.
I looked at photos on google maps and understood it was 70s/80s retro music themed. Excellent. I felt welcomed and at home. The rooms were small but well designed and efficient. Very comfortable. Included was a wonderful restaurant downstairs. The”Lona misa” . I must admit I had sad preconceived views of vegan cuisine but I have realised my mistake. Wonderful playful menu and over two days we worked our way through most of the menu. Beautiful flavours and textures. Can’t wait to go back to both hotel and restaurant. Well done.
