•The quirky décor with its pop-art colour palette and abstract artwork make 29th apartment the ultimate eclectic Melbourne hangout for the St Kilda cognoscenti. Located on colourful Fitzroy Street at the heart of buzzing St Kilda, this quirky Federation house crossed with NYC apartment is the ‘go to’ for its party loving audience.
29th apartment artfully combines iconic architecture and elements from both New York & St Kilda in a truly unconventional bar that is the re-imagining of an apartment inhabited by the infamous Katishe; a salacious, struggling artist, who worked the streets of St Kilda by night to support her passion & hopes of one day being discovered for her talents as an artist.
The venue is covered in scenes from New York’s underground culture and the ‘apartment’ includes a lounge room, bathroom complete with bathtub and a fold-away bed. A balcony fire escape, depictions of graffiti-filled alleyways and private booth seating all complete the feeling that you’ve stumbled into a happening NYC apartment party. The space has been described as creative and unique and sets a great backdrop for any occasion.

Book out our private space which has sofa seating, classy decor and a bookcase to divide the room in two. Hook up to the speakers and enjoy the privacy with key pads to gain entry to the room.
Our outdoor area is perfect to catch the afternoon sun and is also a heated area so it's a great spot in the fresh air all year around.
Interactive area with Nintendo Wii, Giant Jenga and other games and seat swings. Close access to the outdoor area.
This place is the absolute best! Such a great atmosphere and lots of fun with the games and fantastic music. Drinks are very reasonably priced but Wednesdays are by far the winner with one free drink subject to registration, cheap drinks all night and the music is to DIE for!!
A friend and I came for pizza and her being vegetarian we opted to share a buffala on a Saturday afternoon which was very tasty with rather a thin crispy base. It’s quite an eclectic little spot, very St Kilda read quirky and it’s relaxed apartment style setting as the name suggests provides not only a novel atmosphere but also plenty of games should you wish to entertain yourself (we did not on this occasion but others certainly were!). A great spot to pop into for a drink if you are eating dinner along the street. It’s fun, unpretentious and a little bit different
This is an amazing bar on a very convenient location, tram is just outside, near the beach. The bartenders are feakin crazy and nice. The crowd is always very nice at this place.
amazing staff, good vibes, great drinks. All staff were lovely, but especially the man with the beard, and the jager bomb lady on Wedesnday the 18th September. They deserve a raise. The wii was good
The most dismal cocktail menu I have encountered, with insufferable loud music where you can’t hear your friends talk. No food. But, the cherry on top? not being given my change for drinks (paid in cash). I wouldn’t bother attending again, as there’s far better places to visit.
