Took my elderly parents for a drive and decided to have lunch here… whilst I understand being busy and not getting your meal quickly, a 45 minute wait for garlic bread is a little bit ridiculous.. the “4” pieces were in fact only 3 normal/ decent suzed, and 1 small end piece of bread. The pizza I ordered was soggy, and the 2 seniors fish and chips (which took just on an hour to coke out) were incredibly over cooked. Overall an incredibly disappointing 1st experience at what seemed to have been a really good establishment.

Had dinner here this evening. The service was friendly and efficient. The place was very busy. The Scallops were divine. The Cheese burger was a bit dry. The Sausage rolls were tasty and the fish tacos were good. The Seniors Roast Pumpkin Salad was really bland. The pumpkin was in large pieces next to the salad. It would have been wonderful if diced smaller and roasted till caramelized.

My wife and I attended a comedy night at Stirling Arms and had a great time. The venue has a fantastic vibe—perfect for relaxing or hosting an event. The food was well-presented and tasted great. Parking is available on the street or in the gravel lot behind the pub, and the venue is wheelchair accessible. The only downside was the cleanliness of the men’s toilets, which had an unpleasant smell and urine on the floor. Overall, it’s a great spot, and with better restroom maintenance, it would be even better! We did not stay in the hotel side of things so i can not comment on that.

Love the quirkiness of the old building, accommodation with the high ceilings, thick walls, unusual layout of the rooms (bathroom area as big as sleeping area). Bed was very comfortable, a definite plus. The room we were staying in is in need of some touch ups though, chipped paint etc. and the glasses and cups were needing of a good clean. Condition possibly didn’t reflect the high price of $300 a night. Pictures online showed balcony accessibly but unfortunately our room didn’t have that accessibility. Would stay there again if the price was reflective of the accommodation’s condition.
