I stayed here 2 years ago and now again for my partner’s birthday. I wanted to express this was the absolute best experience I’ve had at a hotel in many years or even my whole life. One word: THOUGHTFUL. I probably mentioned it was my partner’s birthday on the booking notes and they had bubbly waiting for us with a birthday card. The Santini restaurant at the hotel then had a birthday dessert and wine for him. Then we finished the night at the rooftop bar where manager, Remy, so kindly arranged tables for our group to stay together even though I asked for this very last minute. The bar gentleman also shouted my partner a drink. All these gestures showed so much care and attention, made us feel welcomed and that the money spent here was worth it. The room was beautiful and very clean, the hotel overall is lovely and beautiful decor. Thank you, you clearly hire the right people here - who take pride in their work. Please value your staff as much as they made us feel valued ❤️
Great location. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Mini bar was very well equipped. Staffers were very nice and accomodating. The rooftop closes very early imo but it's how things are done in Australia, but the setting is very nice. We really loved the elegant breakfast menue and the fact that it wasn't a buffet. One thing however could improve - we paid for breakfast separately when we checked in and for some reason it wasn't communicated to the dining room staff. We had to wait for everything to get sorted and we felt a little embarrassed by that. Not a big deal but a point to improve.
ABYSMAL CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE ON OUR WEDDING NIGHT. We stayed here on the night our wedding and were met with the rudest customer service I have every experienced! You would think that rocking up in a wedding dress and suit, over the moon from the amazing day we just had, would be met with a congratulations (or at the very least a smile or some type of kindness!!!). We had dropped our bags off the day before to ensure a smooth check in on the night of our wedding. When we arrived on our wedding night the lady asked to see our ID, to which I told her it was in our room as we had checked in early because of the wedding. She was extremely rude in her responses despite us trying our best to get her some type of copy of our ID. She was refusing to allow us up to our room where we would have happily shown her our ID. We were in the lobby for about 20 minutes trying to sort the situation and the lady in no way, shape or form offered a smile or any kindness. I offered Medicare and teaching records as identification, all of which were not enough. Rather than allowing us up to the room she decided to have someone send down our bags so that we could get out our ID. What if we actually weren't who we said we were, was she just going to let us go through someone else's bags? RIDICULOUS. No apologies whatsoever and no congratulations. But don't worry, there was a very robotic thank you once we had paid in advance for our one nights stay. Even a guest who was waiting behind us noticed what was going on and tried his best to offer his support. At least he acknowledged the special occasion. Biggest regret booking this hotel for what should have been a special night. Absolute mood killer.
I really enjoyed our quick stay. One night with a special $40 credit towards food. Beautiful big bathtub. I love the decor in the room. The light fittings are super funky. The music in the entrance is super funky and the bar upstairs is lovely. Albeit a bit expensive. Fabulous location for easy walking to everything.
Loved the location, staff were amazing. Rooms very nice apart from not much room for luggage or benches to place items. The lighting was so confusing however & after a week we still had not worked it out. Bathroom mirror was so far behind the vanity it made it difficult for shaving or applying makeup.minibar so stocked there was no room to place own items in fridge (we did remove items ) would stay again just for the location.
