Great location. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Mini bar was very well equipped. Staffers were very nice and accomodating. The rooftop closes very early imo but it's how things are done in Australia, but the setting is very nice. We really loved the elegant breakfast menue and the fact that it wasn't a buffet. One thing however could improve - we paid for breakfast separately when we checked in and for some reason it wasn't communicated to the dining room staff. We had to wait for everything to get sorted and we felt a little embarrassed by that. Not a big deal but a point to improve.
Great location - close to all the sites of Perth. Rooms were fine. Enthusiastic staff, but no one to move luggage. OK for us, but would be a pain for some. Rooftop bar is fab - albeit noisy - with lots of "beautiful people" on one night and closed early on one of our nights. First floor bar is more intimate.
We just stayed here for our wedding anniversary, it was fantastic! The service was incredible, the staff are so lovely! The food and drinks were amazing too! We will be back for another stay and on our recommendation list for others thinking of staying in the city. So close to everything!
This hotel has an excellent location but our King Room is small and poky. Not nearly enough wardrobe space, storage space or general shelf space. There is a big mini-bar and the bathroom is big but this is at the expense of the sitting area which is tiny. Disappointed as it’s our 40th wedding anniversary and I was hoping for better (we were upgraded in Brisbane without asking) I did not expect to have clothes still in suitcases and shoes etc. everywhere. Feels very cramped and we were told this is a ‘nice’ room. You need to be told how to work the reading lamps and even then the engineer who we waited 25 minutes for struggled. Basically both have to be on at the same time! What is the point of that? This hotel may be good for a night or two but if you are on holiday I would book somewhere else unless you want to be surrounded by clothes, suitcases and shoes everywhere you look. We did get a free bottle of nice sparkling wine which we needed when we realised that we could not unpack properly.
ABYSMAL CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE ON OUR WEDDING NIGHT. We stayed here on the night our wedding and were met with the rudest customer service I have every experienced! You would think that rocking up in a wedding dress and suit, over the moon from the amazing day we just had, would be met with a congratulations (or at the very least a smile or some type of kindness!!!). We had dropped our bags off the day before to ensure a smooth check in on the night of our wedding. When we arrived on our wedding night the lady asked to see our ID, to which I told her it was in our room as we had checked in early because of the wedding. She was extremely rude in her responses despite us trying our best to get her some type of copy of our ID. She was refusing to allow us up to our room where we would have happily shown her our ID. We were in the lobby for about 20 minutes trying to sort the situation and the lady in no way, shape or form offered a smile or any kindness. I offered Medicare and teaching records as identification, all of which were not enough. Rather than allowing us up to the room she decided to have someone send down our bags so that we could get out our ID. What if we actually weren't who we said we were, was she just going to let us go through someone else's bags? RIDICULOUS. No apologies whatsoever and no congratulations. But don't worry, there was a very robotic thank you once we had paid in advance for our one nights stay. Even a guest who was waiting behind us noticed what was going on and tried his best to offer his support. At least he acknowledged the special occasion. Biggest regret booking this hotel for what should have been a special night. Absolute mood killer.
