Stayed here the night before and night of our wedding. The congratulatory bottle of sparkling was a lovely gesture but aside from that, we felt that the hotel left a lot to be desired. The fixtures and design of the hotel are stunning, but it’s unfortunately evident that whoever planned it didn’t have the customer experience in mind. There is no dedicated space for luggage and the bathroom mirror placement and lighting made getting ready for the day difficult. This is the first hotel we’ve encountered across 3 continents that doesn’t provide free bottled water and slippers. Although this is a minor gripe, those amenities are expected from a hotel of this calibre. Breakfast options are extremely limited and in small portion. Instead of pancakes, you’re served a singular pancake and you need to pay extra if you’d like bacon with your eggs. I’m not sure what the point of holding us up to sign the receipt of an included breakfast was, but it felt unnecessary. The receipt said the cost of 2x Eggs Benny, 2x small coffees and an orange juice would have been $78, so quite expensive if not included in your room rate too. Lastly, the service was cold and uninviting. The welcome cocktails supposedly included in our package were never offered. To top it off, our experience was further soured after we left when the front desk called us to accuse us of stealing shower gel that is bolted to the wall(??!) It was certainly still in the room when we left so I’m not sure what happened and can only assume miscommunication from housekeeping.
This review is for the rooftop bar only, not for the hotel. We had dinner with a group of 15 people. Rooftop bar offered a good view over Perth. A huge variety of drinks was offered by the menu. The variety of food in the menu was limited. Quality of food was below average and suboptimal. Frito Misto plate was served with battered prawns complete with shell, legs and head. We had never seen such a mess before, no chance to enjoy the prawns. Staff was not attentive nor well organised. Starters were served after the main courses. All in all no good experience. Better look for an other spot to dine.
Room has good quality furniture, but it is thrown together such that the room feels unfinished. Staff are professional but seem short in numbers, tried ringing reception to get wine glasses (there are none in the room), gave up after ten mins ringing. Definitely not value for money
Went to the QT to celebrate a significant birthday. Great reception from manager Rosa who organised a bottle of bubbles to our room. We just enjoyed the funky QT style, room size and definitely the rooftop bar. Breakfast was excellent, both food quality and ambience. Great central location.
Very disappointed, below standard of QT hotels. No toilet brush in the bathroom, and the bath was filthy. Room service is incredibly expensive and the food is well below average (think overcooked steak and burnt burger buns with the thinnest slice of cheese for around $50 per plate of food). Concierge staff are polite until it comes to checkout and they want you gone. Bar menu is underwhelming.
