We stayed here a year ago for our daughter’s birthday and she loved it so much we booked to come back this year. Unfortunately there are renovations happening which meant that the pool was off limits and we had zero communication about this and we had booked 6 months ago. The rooms were nice enough but there was no drinking water provided and when asked at the lobby I was told I had to buy my own. Unfortunately we won’t be returning until the renovation is complete and hope for a better experience in the future. Location is great and we were lucky enough to have a Brazilian food market on whilst we were staying. If you’re thinking of staying I’d suggest to wait until the works are complete.
We stayed here for our daughters birthday party which started at 5pm with the check in process taking over 1.5hours she was late to her own party, I understand the systems were down a couple days before our stay but why wasn’t there a email or call to inform us of the delays. We couldn’t even get a working key to our room, so therefore we had to get a staff member to open our door for us every time, we had 3 rooms and couldn’t even visit our kids room without leaving our door unlocked with a shoe holding it open like the staff member suggested! Absolute disgrace! Not to mention the loud aircon couldn’t even sleep! Wouldn’t recommend this hotel
We had a long stay through December until January 3rd 2025. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there even though there was maintenance going on and pool not in use...but, there is a FREE pool across the road Called the Ocean 🌊. We had minor issues but got resolved easily and quickly by Peter O'Donoghue the Duty Manager (Thanks again Peter). We are coming back there for another 11 days in March...so we look forward to it once again. Thanks Rendezvous for your great hospitality! Kind Regards - Lee & Marianne 😀😎💯
Disappointed with the staff and service! Great location and rooms are nice but the staff is really rude and unprofessional. It’s like they aren’t trained to be at a hotel and they don’t know anything and have a rude attitude. We left our bag in their storage and they had raided it for our food…. Dry goods we stored there. What an absolute strange thing to do? They gave the bag back mostly empty and had taken food for 200+ dollars that was in it and stored in their bag storage. An overall odd experience and someone really need to manage the staff.
Nice beach front location Used to be Observation City back in the day when Bondi build it. Going tru"refurbishment" atm. Not sure since when or how long so pool area Not accessible. They offer an alternative at the Scabs Pool but its a drag walking up and down with all your gear...so...pool no go for us. Upon check-in front desk staff was friendly but left me confused with their instructions regarding parking which is located underneath the building but not obviously signed or displayed. Parking your car cost an extra $25 overnight. Breakfast buffet was included in room price and offered a great selection of hot and cold food and beverages. Nice variety and enjoyable. Good to sea a great "beachfront" atmosphere at Scabs Beach with all the eateries on the Esplanade. We are locals from the Swan Valley so we are very familiar with Scarborough, CBD and all other Perth suburbs. Will we be going back soon....not sure but probably 🤔
