I recently attended booked a weekend function at Rendezvous Hotel and the front entrance was closed off due to building constructions. When I tried to enter from the back the elevator was “not in use” and the escalator upwards to the function was not working. As I was in a wheelchair I had to leave my wheelchair behind and crawl up the stairs and when reception gave me a wheelchair to use at the function they came and took it off me so I then could not go to the toilet. It was horrifying. I could not attend two night events due to the lack of access and I wrote to them and they did not offer any confirmation that the lift or escalator was getting fixed so other disabled people could use the venue. There was no recompense for the stress and humiliation I went through as a disabled person over that weekend. It was the most horrific experience. I do not recommend this hotel at all. The staff don’t care for the people and the hotel is in disrepair. The room we were on had curtains falling down as well. I can’t imagine what the rooms must be like! Enter at your own risk!
Room in bathroom full of mould Lamp did not work Room not serviced till 5pm Very disappointed Spoke to manager after complaints to front desk . He was very understanding got offered to move to another room but I refused Had someone for hour scrubbed bathroom looked better but still mould in places was given $100 food voucher . The view was beautiful. Bar staff lovely food excellent No pool to use Building work going on so 7 am in morning continues with drilling etc When booking not told of theses things and still paying full price No plug to have a bath No drinking water Have go get your own ice I hate to complain and am the first person to compliment when some thing is good . I felt awful it was just one thing after another and was stressful for me . The size of room nice just it’s getting old and tired
Three weeks ago, we stayed at Rendezvous, and unfortunately, their system was down—or possibly hacked—during check-in. Despite the challenges, the staff did their best to accommodate all guests. We had to wait a few hours before getting into our rooms, but they offered complimentary drinks, which was a thoughtful gesture. Once we finally got our rooms, they were clean and serviced daily, we also had a wonderful view of the beach! One improvement that would enhance the stay is better bathroom ventilation, as an exhaust fan would help with moisture. While I hope they also improve their backup plan for handling system issues in the future, overall, it was a pleasant stay.
Disappointing Stay – Falls Short of 4-Star Expectations Our stay at this hotel was underwhelming and did not meet the standards expected from a 4-star property. • The room had a noisy air conditioning fan, which made it difficult to sleep. • External noise from motorbikes and loud cars continued until midnight. • We booked a king bed but were given two single beds joined together, which was uncomfortable. • The “Southern Ocean View” room did not offer a clear sunset view . • Despite signage indicating a games room, none was available. • Parking was listed as “available,” but there was no mention of the $25 per night fee until arrival. Fortunately, this was waived by reception due to the long check-in queue and our short overnight stay. • No toothbrush or toothpaste was provided, which is generally standard in 4-star hotels. • At check-in, no information was provided about basic hotel facilities or breakfast times. On a positive note, the room linen and towels were clean, and the minibar was well-stocked and convenient. Overall, while there were some good aspects, the lack of transparency, comfort, and attention to detail made this stay fall short of expectations.
We stayed here a year ago for our daughter’s birthday and she loved it so much we booked to come back this year. Unfortunately there are renovations happening which meant that the pool was off limits and we had zero communication about this and we had booked 6 months ago. The rooms were nice enough but there was no drinking water provided and when asked at the lobby I was told I had to buy my own. Unfortunately we won’t be returning until the renovation is complete and hope for a better experience in the future. Location is great and we were lucky enough to have a Brazilian food market on whilst we were staying. If you’re thinking of staying I’d suggest to wait until the works are complete.
