Great location and friendly staff at check in and check out. Unfortunately, the room cleanliness could have been better, with several areas not cleaned properly. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The complimentary breakfast was average and could definitely benefit from more variety.

The location is central so convenient although the entrance os down a dodgy looking side street, the sort you see in American tv where people.get ambushed. We were on the 8th floor quite high up but not much of a view, just Hertz car yard and the dirty roofs of nearby buildings. When we walked in the room it reeked of someone just using thr toilet, there appeared no extractor, the windows dodnt even open slightly to allow fresh air in. Breakfast was a joke. The only hot breakfast was bacon and what looked like powdered egg. I asked about vegetarian options, I was told "not today". Nothing hot for a vegetarian, no beans, mushrooms, no sausage for the non vegetarians. We sat in an area near the meeting room, and the black metal screens were absolutely filthy at the bottom, thick distance, bits of food there that looked like they had been there for ages. We stayed two nights and the second day the drain in the shower stank, again no way to get fresh air in. We returned to the hotel mid afternoon and the lobby area stank of drains ir sewage, not at all pleasant. So food was not really good. The place stank of drains or sewage, turn right out of the hotel and itooks like a dodgy alley where my wife said she would not feel.safe walking down at night. And not much of a view for a central city hotel. I'd rather have paid more for a nicer place

Very disappointing and inflexible experience. Due to an unexpected flight change, I contacted the hotel one day before my scheduled arrival to explain that I could only arrive one day later. I was not asking to cancel my trip. I simply asked whether my stay could be shifted by one day. The hotel refused to move the booking, refund the unused first night. I had informed them in advance one day that I would definitely not be using the room, yet I still had to lose the full cost of that night. I understand that this was a prepaid group booking and that hotels have cancellation policies. However, there is a difference between having a policy and showing reasonable flexibility when a guest proactively contacts the hotel before arrival because of an unforeseen flight change. What disappointed me most was not simply the money, but the complete lack of flexibility: one unused prepaid night, no refund, no credit, no date shift, and another AUD 199 required to replace that night at the end of the stay. Travel plans can change for reasons outside a guest's control, especially for an international visitor. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that travelers think carefully before making a prepaid reservation here, because even if you notify the hotel in advance, you may receive very little flexibility when something goes wrong.

Great hotel. We stayed three nights before heading west on the Indian Pacific Staff were very polite and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was lovely. Enough choice to satisfy everyone. Will definitely stay here again.

Becareful of theft. I left my iPhone NEW mobile charger in the room, contact them straight away and it disappeared. 100% it was plugged in and not with me, once I got home a few hours later. $100+ now just gone. Sad times when hotels don’t hire trusting Australians to clean rooms. I won’t return again, and I’m a regular fortnight client. I enjoyed my stays in this hotel this past year, but honesty rates highest and I’ll book an elsewhere. As no compensation for their staffs dishonesty was even offered.
