The rooms are genuinely lovely — very clean, beautifully maintained, and the bed is exceptionally comfortable. One of the best hotel sleeps I’ve ever had. The staff are kind, professional, and consistently welcoming, and the breakfast offering is genuinely delicious with great-quality food. Unfortunately, the shared amenities fall far short of the hotel’s luxury positioning. The pool was an overpopulated nightmare — at one point there were easily 20+ screaming kids, alongside groups of drunk adults shouting in the pool, creating an atmosphere that felt like a spring break party scene rather than a luxury retreat. After a 3-hour drive, it was impossible to find a seat or sun lounger — not a single spot available to relax. We also witnessed a parent casually changing a soiled diaper at the very edge of the pool, in full view of guests. The overall experience felt closer to a Vegas hotel or a budget cruise than a considered, high-end environment. The gym is beautiful in design, just like the rest of the hotel but impractical for most users. There are no machines — only free weights and squat racks. The setup is clearly tailored to CrossFit-style training, not to the broader expectations of a luxury hotel gym. A simple and effective improvement would be a timed sun-lounger reservation system, ensuring every guest gets a fair opportunity to relax and enjoy the pool. In the end we had to go work out at another gym and also use the pool there to escape the chaos at the Calile pool. We were incredibly excited to stay here, but ultimately left disappointed by the pool and gym experience. Everything else is excellent — the hotel simply needs to bring the same level of thought, hospitality, and planning to its shared amenities.
I can see what the Calile has such a good reputation. A beautiful hotel and atmosphere - stayed for 4 days and had a great time. The rooms have every feature to make your stay comfortable and peaceful. Despite many events going on at the hotel - it was quiet and private. Dined at Hellenika, breakfast by the pool and all the cocktails, coffee were all excellent. Service was exceptional from start to finish and complemented the experience perfectly.
Love this boutique hotel! The surrounding area really makes it. Lots of great retail and food places. The whole area is so beautifully green and has a lovely feel to it. I love the design of the hotel. Our room and bathroom were lovely. Great blackout curtains and a really good, quiet air conditioning system. I slept better in this hotel than I usually do. We’d definitely stay here again… It’s a fantastic part of Brisbane with great access to other areas and a lovely home away from home for a few days.
Beautiful hotel, luxury feel, charming features throughout - and just a short drive from the airport. The rooms were clean and spacious with modern touches and the pool was just magical at sunset. The delicious, fresh food from Hellenika was just amazing - Pool side, cabana, cool water and warm sunshine... Simply perfection! We've made so many wonderful memories together here! Highly recommend a visit to The Calile Hotel!
It's a beautifully designed hotel that feels luxurious and gives the holiday vibe at the same time. Room was spacious with a good size round table for dining and/or working. It has a open closet which was convenient to leave the suitcases open but at the same time it can look messy with clothes all just hanging out in the open. The only thing we didn't like was the open design of the bathroom. As much as the toilet is separated with a door, the lack of privacy in the bathroom is not ideal for me. Service overall was very attentive - everywhere in the hotel. There are so many of staff and all so friendly all around. Location is very convenient to restaurants and buses. Plenty to do and see around the area! Everything went well except for a few little things which is no big deal but given the claim to be 5 star and the price we pay, I was annoyed on our last day where housekeeping was only half completed with towel still left in the basin, amenities not replenished, bin not emptied etc basically it looked like housekeeping came in and had to rush out. I gave this feedback to guest services and they were prompt in addressing my complaint and offered a late check out but it wasn't communicated to housekeeping as I got the knock on the door at 11:30am asking if I was leaving. Why try to fix things just to ruin it again. Overall, it's a lovely place but for that price and target audience, then they need to work onconsistency and attention to detail.
