We were staying nearby and, once we discovered how good Dunwoody’s was, we kept coming back. In fact, we visited four times in four days, including twice in one day. The food was outstanding every time. The steak was next level, the burger was excellent, and the barramundi was one of the best meals we had during our stay in Cairns. Every meal was beautifully presented and consistently high quality. A special mention to Kimberly, who was fantastic. On a packed Saturday night, with no booking, she somehow managed to find us a table and made us feel genuinely welcome. Her service was exceptional. One thing worth mentioning is that the outside of the building doesn’t really prepare you for what’s inside. From the road it looks like a typical pub, but once you walk through the doors you find a modern, stylish venue with a great atmosphere, excellent dining areas and a well set up sports bar. If you’re planning to visit on a Friday or Saturday night, or during major sporting events, I’d strongly recommend booking ahead. The place was consistently busy during our stay, and after eating there it’s easy to understand why. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Cairns.

We went here for a spontaneous dinner on 20th June, and we left feeling so content! We wanted to watch the AFL game, and the young guy with a middlepart in the bar were so kind and put it on for us. The halloumi burger was amazing, fresh avocado, perfectly cooked halloumi and mushroom, crispy fries. Many vegetarian options! Also, the atmosphere at this place is very cozy. I can highly recommend, by far the best place we've been to here in Cairns. Both food, customer service and atmosphere is lovely.

We dined here for father's day lunch. I highly recommend to book as it is a very busy place. There are 3 - 4 different areas that you can eat.It was quite noisy, but there was a lot of people there. The food came out really quick and staff were fast to clear the tables when you had finished. I had the ribs,they fell of the bone and had a lovely taste, but would had been good with a little more sauce. The cookie dessert was very sweet, but I ate every bite as it was yummy. There was live music, but we couldn't hear it in the dining room. There is a pokie room and keno for a flutter. Free water for sober Bob and a full bar of different drinks. There is a ATM if you are needing cash, but the business takes card, like most places. There were steps to enter the building, but if you are disabled I would ask them if there is a ramp. We hosted a birthday party for our 7 year old at Dunwoody’s and couldn’t have been happier. The staff were amazing and the service was excellent from start to finish. There were plenty of great platter options, everything was well organised, and they even arranged a face painter, which absolutely made the day for the kids. Management and staff were genuinely friendly and went out of their way to make sure the whole dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend for parties or any family celebration.

Always an excellent meal, excellent service & great atmosphere. Jean David was very attentive to our table for the evening Dunwoodys is also a great space for function - and were amazing to deal with to host my birthday.
