We recently hosted my partner’s 40th birthday at The Kilburn, it was a Casino Royale theme. Courtney, Mollie and the team were fantastic to deal with from day one! Reasonable pricing for the minimum spend and drinks packages, a beautiful venue and they were very generous with the hours we could host for on the Saturday night. I really appreciated how flexible they were with the vendors we used and decorations / catering and entertainment that we organised. The team were great on the night and made sure my partner had a wonderful birthday. I highly recommend working with them for your next event

The Kilburn is a cracking local pub with great vibes, solid drinks, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. It’s the perfect setting for a midweek night out, especially if you’re looking for something fun and social without the chaos of a weekend crowd. We host weekly trivia nights here through Midweek Events, and the space works beautifully. Plenty of room for teams, clear sound, attentive staff, and an energy that keeps people coming back week after week. The Kilburn consistently draws a lively crowd for trivia in Hawthorn, making it one of the best spots in the area for a relaxed but buzzing quiz night. Nice staff and service but the Long Island jug we ordered tasted like flat coke. Not a hint of anything alcoholic in there. Such a rip off, won’t be going back any time soon.

I arrived for happy hour just after 4pm. The bar was quiet, and the lady behind the bar was friendly and engaging. I had a Hawkers Stout (non happy hour), and Hawkers "Kilburn" lager. Both were very enjoyable, with a good depth of flavour. It is so refreshing to find a non CUB selection of beer. And to enjoy it in a schmick venue. With great staff. If I were a whisky drinker, I believe I'd be in trouble here, as the selection looks extensive and quality. Same with the cocktails. I'd come here in a heart beat before any of the pubs around Glenferrie. Definitely worth a visit 👍😀🍺

Had a great time here. Warm atmosphere and friendly service. Their selection of whiskey is insane, and the cocktails are great. They also had a busy trivia night on Tuesday night which was a lot of fun! Highly recommended.

Stage space was vast and the brief was "to make it feel intimate, sexy, cool and luxurious on a tight budget,” says Jacqui, who certainly achieved that. With its gorgeous use of blue (from peacock to inkier tones), space combines leather, velvet, brass, and marble for a luxe, sexy vibe.
