The room itself was comfortable, however the heater was not very effective. Since our room had a courtyard and it was winter, the room stayed quite cold, and we felt chilly every night, which slightly affected our comfort. Staff were generally okay and helpful, though both housekeeping and reception felt a bit slow at times — they did assist us eventually, but response time could be improved. On the positive side, we were allowed early check-in, and the team kindly offered complimentary breakfast since we arrived earlier than expected, which was a nice and thoughtful gesture. Overall, an okay experience with some room for improvement, especially in room heating and service efficiency during busy periods.

Staying here at the moment for the first time as a Titanium member. Was upgraded to an Executive room as they said there was no available suite at check in. Location is definitely very convenient with lots of restaurants in surrounding streets, including Chinatown. Service from everyone we met or came across so far has been good and helpful. The M Club lounge is very small and so is the vanity top and basin in the bathroom. Not really any views from the room and the window was quite dirty. Breakfast was enjoyed for the first time this morning. Thank you for the various lactose free options. Always like a fresh fruit and vegetable juicing station but there was no ginger provided. Over the course of a few days, Marron has been exceptional friendly and helpful at Essence (breakfast).

The location and continental breakfast were great, and the staff were very amenable. The gym could benefit from yoga mats, and the pool/sauna facilities felt quite dated. The main downside was the lack of heating in the room — only air conditioning was available, which made it freezing at night. Staff kindly provided extra blankets and a portable heater, but the room still remained quite cold, especially for winter in Melbourne. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, but I’m not sure I’d stay here again due to the lack of proper room heating. I would strongly suggest adding heating to each room to improve guest comfort.

We had a wonderful stay, with its perfect location making it easy to get around and explore the area. The restaurant staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. The buffet breakfast offered an impressive variety of fresh and delicious options to suit all tastes. The clean and relaxing pool and spa facilities were perfect for unwinding.

Breakfasts were a bit chaotic with missing items had to be requested (tea pots, spoons etc). Coffee machine temperamental and a constant frustration. Location good for the city but the hotel is a bit tired and not what I expected ftom a Marriott. There's probably better hotels in Melbourne that are in a good location.
