The room itself was comfortable, however the heater was not very effective. Since our room had a courtyard and it was winter, the room stayed quite cold, and we felt chilly every night, which slightly affected our comfort. Staff were generally okay and helpful, though both housekeeping and reception felt a bit slow at times — they did assist us eventually, but response time could be improved. On the positive side, we were allowed early check-in, and the team kindly offered complimentary breakfast since we arrived earlier than expected, which was a nice and thoughtful gesture. Overall, an okay experience with some room for improvement, especially in room heating and service efficiency during busy periods.

Been staying here since Dec 15th. The service crew here is real efficient. They are friendly. The egg orders are always right and fast. I like especially the fresh juice Corner. It allows me to have fresh cucumber and carrot with apple daily. Love the place. Coffee is nice too

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding 5-Star Stay at Melbourne Marriott Hotel for My Surprise 50th Birthday! I absolutely loved it! My sister surprised me in the hotel room with balloons and decorations—it was incredibly special and truly unforgettable. The Marriott staff played a huge part in making it all happen; they were attentive, thoughtful, and helpful beyond measure. We stayed the night and attended the magic show “Impossible Occurrences” with Luke Hocking’s at the hotel, which is always exceptional. If you haven’t seen it, you must—go see it! I have seen the show about six times now, and once again, I had an exceptional experience at the Melbourne Marriott Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the service was truly five-star—warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay was perfect. The room was beautifully appointed—clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable, with bedding that ensured a wonderful night’s sleep. The hotel’s location is ideal, right in the heart of the city and within walking distance of shopping, dining, and major attractions. The facilities were excellent, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was elegant yet relaxed. Every interaction with the team reflected true hospitality and outstanding attention to detail. I highly recommend the Melbourne Marriott Hotel to anyone seeking comfort, quality service, and a premium city stay. I will absolutely be returning. A heartfelt thank you to everyone—from concierge, the buffet wait staff, and housekeeping, to the team who even assisted us with cleanup bags for the balloons after the celebration. A well appointed and friendly Hotel. Staff were very welcoming and also accommodated requests if they could and gave alternatives to requests that couldn't be done. The food was great value and breakfast buffet was very well set up. The coffee machine was on the blink but they made us proper Cafe coffee without skipping a beat. The hostess actually spoke to guests and was always ensuring that everything ran smoothly with her very competent and willing team.We will be back

Breakfasts were a bit chaotic with missing items had to be requested (tea pots, spoons etc). Coffee machine temperamental and a constant frustration. Location good for the city but the hotel is a bit tired and not what I expected ftom a Marriott. There's probably better hotels in Melbourne that are in a good location.
