It is perfect for a hotel in the city. It is quiet even though it is right in the middle of the city. Transport is very close and hardware lane is just out the door for dinner. It has an excellent restaurant on site, a bar that has a 4pm to 7 pm happy hour. A heated outdoor pool and gym. Still or sparkling water available by the bottle or refill own bottle near reception free of charge. Staff were fantastic from concierge until we checked out.

I had a very enjoyable stay at hotel. The room was modern, comfortable, and very clean. I especially loved the large rain shower head with strong water pressure, and the robes were thick, fluffy, and luxurious. The oversized bath sheets were also a great touch — perfect for long hair and much more practical than standard hotel towels. The staff were very accommodating and kindly allowed me a late check-out despite the hotel being fully booked, which I really appreciated. One thing I think could be improved is the water setup. The refillable bottle station at reception is a good eco-friendly idea, though it would have been more convenient to have water already stocked in the mini fridge upon arrival. The only other minor issue was the bath and shower controls. The circular turning knobs were a little difficult to use with wet or greasy hands, and it took some trial and error to work out the hot water temperature initially. Overall, it was still a lovely and comfortable stay with thoughtful amenities and excellent service.

We had a fantastic stay at Voco Melbourne Central. Check-in was seamless, thanks to Neth — we arrived very early, but after a quick sign-up to the IHG Rewards program, we were able to check into our room around three hours ahead of schedule. A great start to the stay. The room itself was spacious, well-appointed, and well maintained. The standout feature for us was the bathroom — especially the bath, with good views over some of the city from our 21st floor. Every staff interaction was friendly and genuine, with service delivered with a smile. Nothing seemed too much trouble — whether it was organising a bucket of ice or accommodating our late checkout request. The hotel is well located in the city, with Melbourne’s renowned food, bars, and culture all within easy walking distance. This was our second stay here, and it’s fair to say we’ll very likely be back again. Thanks to the entire Voco team for another great experience.

It was a great stay, beautiful room with breath taking views. We used the bathtub as much as we could, 3 times in 24 hours, it was so relaxing to soak in the hot water as we looked out at the city, the buffett breakfast was divine. But what really made the stay amazing was the service! Samuel was amazing, he really took great care of us, he was a delight, full of bright and positive energy. Thank you Samuel

Voco Restaurant is honestly one of my favorite places to go. I usually don’t write reviews, but I just wanted to share how happy I am every time I visit. I’ve always had such good experiences there. The location is right in the middle of the CBD, and the restaurant view is so beautiful — me and my friends always end up taking pictures there. The staff are all super nice and friendly, which makes the whole experience even better. And if you happen to see Sam, the tall red-haired bar manager, it’s your lucky day! He’s genuinely so sweet and really knows his drinks, so just trust his recommendations. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good restaurant with amazing hospitality!

With its own private terrace overlooking the city, Hammer Room is the ideal location for intimate events. A unique space with great views of Melbourne’s skyline in the city centre. A cocktail configuration can fit up to 30 people.
Tongs
Our private room Tongs, is ideal for small events. Guests can separate themselves from the buzz of the restaurant with automatic curtains while meeting or hosting a creative party. Up to 30 people can be accommodated in boardroom setup.
Blacksmith Restaurant
Overlooking Melbourne’s skyline with its twinkling city lights at night makes for an impressive event. Our Blacksmith Restaurant is available for exclusive use of up to 150 people for a canape reception or 80 for a sit-down dinner.
