Was expecting Peppers experience, thinking it would be a nice , luxury escape but underwhelmed ! Check in lady was great but apart from that, most of the staff, especially the front desk staff would not look at you or acknowledge you if you walked past even when the reception was quiet. No friendly smile, no good morning how are you. No customer service skills whatsoever! We got told off at the pool bar saying this is a luxury a hotel when we were 2 mins out of happy hour and asked for the happy hour price. Sitting around main pool, discarded plastic drink cups left lying everywhere as well as food service cardboard containers . Not one of the waitstaff picked up any , repeat anything that was left finished by guests! I couldn’t take it any longer and cleared a space so we could sit down in reasonably clean beach area. No outside cleaning done around pool area as dried spilt tomato sauce was all over parts of seating area , tiling , lounge chairs around pool that was there for our three day stay. No attention to detail and getting tired look about it and needs a bit of maintenance. Parking spots extremely narrow. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable but overall disappointing to what we were expecting from a Peppers resort. Breakfast was the same, reasonably good breakfast but staff busy talking to each other rather than picking up plates from our table. Also , again got told off for touching pancake machine.

10/10 stay! We stayed for our anniversary weekend and the staff were so friendly and helped make it extra special. The room was so spacious and the spa bath in our room was delightful. The lagoon pool is fantastic and honestly I could lounge by it all day! Great restaurants/cafes within walking distance. Honestly we can’t wait to come back!

We stayed for 6 days. Day 1 I realised my bedside lamp was faulty. When I reported to reception they were fairly dismissive and said to just turn it off. They half heartedly offered to send maintenance but it was clearly an inconvenience so for the week I didn't use the lamp. The hair dryer had clearly been dropped numerous times and it was the one time I didn't bring mine so I had to deal with using one that the attachments didn't stay on. The toaster was a cheap toaster. It worked but it felt light weight and cheap and things got stuck easily. Not a deal breaker. There was 1 spare roll of toilet paper for the week so we had to ask for more which is a bit embarrassing and I have never had to do this anywhere else. I understand rooms not being cleaned every day but to not do them at all for a 6 day stay wreaks of cost cutting. There are beach pools and we stayed in a pool room so the floor was gritty and we kept tracking stuff into the bed. There was nothing we could use to fix this. The kitchen bin was full but I had no idea where to empty them to. There was no spare blankets but there were pillows. We paid for the buffet breakfast package and it was just really average and not worth the money. We went about 9am on the days we went. The hash browns were over done but had clearly sat there since opening so were cold. I was surprised there wasn't an auto coffee machine and that we had to still pay for coffee on top considering how much the breakfast was. Things were cold from sitting out. I did love the pancake machine but we paid for breakfast elsewhwere a couple of mornings which was much better.and cost abiut the same as the hotel. It was a lovely hotel but it felt like cost cutting and it was a bit disappointing. The lamp thing really annoyed me to be honest. The hotel was not remotely full. It would have been so easy for someone to have grabbed a lamp from an empty room and swapped it out.

Our recent stay at Peppers Salt Resort & Spa Kingscliff was overall restful and enjoyable, and we appreciate the effort of the staff in creating a relaxing atmosphere. That said, we would like to offer some constructive feedback in the spirit of helping the resort maintain the high standards guests expect. The resort itself is beginning to feel a little tired in places. In our room, a new air-conditioning unit had been installed, but the surrounding wall had not yet been patched or finished, which detracted from the overall presentation. There was also no television in the bedroom, which we found surprising for a resort of this calibre. In the restaurant, we noticed a recurring service practice where staff stack used plates quite high at the table when clearing. On several occasions cutlery slipped and fell to the floor. While we understand the intention may be efficiency, this approach can feel uncomfortable for guests dining nearby and may be worth reviewing from both a safety and guest-experience perspective. From a hygiene standpoint, we suggest reconsidering shared butter plates and knives, as well as communal condiments. Individual servings could provide greater reassurance and align with contemporary guest expectations around cleanliness. We share these comments respectfully and constructively. Peppers has a strong reputation, and with some attention to these details, the resort could more fully meet the expectations associated with the brand. We did enjoy a restful stay and hope this feedback is helpful in supporting continued improvement.

We loved our stay at the Peppers Salt Beach. After reading some bad reviews, we had some concerns but, I cannot understand how you could give this resort a bad review. The location is fantastic, staff were super friendly and helpful. Rooms and resort were clean and well maintained. Main pool and tennis court were great. Pool bar was good and breakfast was fantastic. Close to the beach and lots of restaurant opportunities next door. We loved our chill out break at this resort.
