The hotel is older than others but still has a lot of charm, and is centrally located to sooo many places. The Junior Suite is fabulous and one Id recommend because of its spa bath. We had Room Service and enjoyed the steak and prawns! The staff here are sooooo nice too :)) They have an awesome Executive Suite with kitchen which would be great for longer stays :))

We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Overall, staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms were comfortable, though a little dated. The key card system needs updating. Noticed many guests had issues using their room card.

I booked one night with the intention of extending my stay, but I checked out early the next morning due to a highly deflating experience. This property falls short of the expected Novotel standard. My King Room on the 5th floor was outdated, the bathroom is at least a decade overdue for a renovation: the entry door bangs directly into the toilet, the door knob and the taps are old and the floppy shower curtain is frustrating. There is no hand shower, and the bathtub is so shallow that water overflows onto the floor, creating a slipping hazard. The bedroom was equally disappointing. There was only one bedside lamp, no complimentary bottled water, and the window glass was so murky and dirty it looked unwashed for years. Furthermore, the air conditioning panel was obviously broken as it was unresponsive. The room was freezing at night, and the heater did not work. To make matters worse, front desk staff were missing when I tried to call for help. No one answered the phones before 8 PM on a weekday.

The Novotel felt like a tired motel. But it wasn’t all bad - the staff were friendly and efficient. The hair dryer was surprisingly good despite its small size and the pillows were lovely and soft. But that didn’t quite make up for the paper thin walls where conversations in the hallway and rooms around you are a shared experience. The bed sank in the middle so it was an intimate night. The light fixtures in the bathroom were falling out of the ceiling and the toilet seat wouldn’t stay up for my partner so he had to hold it in place. The tiles were cracked and the carpet was coming up. There was only a black out curtain so there was no privacy option. The lighting doesn’t lend itself to doing make up either. There was no mini bar or water bottles. All in all I would not stay here.

Hotel housekeeping stole my jewellery after I accidentally left it in the room and refused to own up to it, even after being told how significant and irreplaceable the items were. Reception staff were also rude and unhelpful when I enquired, really disappointed. Wouldn't waste your money on this place and definitely double check you've taken all your things!

The Silver Room is one of our most popular event spaces. Located on the mezzanine level of the hotel, this stand-alone meeting room features natural day light, is entirely pillarless, and has a 4.5m ceiling height. At 182sqm in size, this private meeting room is ideal for seminars, conferences, and a variety of social gatherings.

Ballroom North is one half of the hotels premium event space, The Riverside Ballroom. This event space is located on the mezzanine level of the hotel, is completely pillarless and has a total floor space of 180m2. Suits smaller conferences, social events, trade displays and breakout options in addition to other venue rooms on the same floor.
The Meeting Space
The Meeting Space is a dedicated boardroom meeting room, located on the ground floor with easy access from the main hotel lobby. This intimate room at 24sqm is set with a large board table allowing up to 10 guests to meet. Hire of this space includes WIFI access, wall-mounted whiteboard, wall mounted TV screen with HDMI connection & a conference phone.
