The Cambodian Space Project
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed my stay at the Grand Chancellor Hobart. Booked for work, I initially thought it might be a generic corporate hotel, but I was wrong. The service was excellent, and the view of Constitution Dock from my floor-to-ceiling window was brilliant. The in-house bar and restaurants offered convenient, quality food and drink. Its location is perfect—right next to Australia's oldest pub, the Hope and Anchor. A winter highlight was the hot buttered rum at the bar, rounding out the genuine Tasmanian hospitality. It's the ideal base to explore this stunning part of Australia's southernmost city. Highly recommended.

This is a nice hotel in Tasmania one of the best in the city. The pool is nice, although it is a little run down and old. This is very the case with the sauna as well, it is very old. The rooms were good although with plenty of room and it was in a good location close to everything. Another big highlight was the buffet it was great with amazing selection.

Loved the hotel in a fantastic location, close to most of the city sights. Restaurant food good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Have a great gym and heated pool for guests use. Also a good guest laundry. We loved our room with a view.

Amazing location, kind staff and extra touches made it a wonderful place to stay. From the extra pillow service to the comfortable beds to the late check out to the easy walk distance and fabulous view of Hobart! Gym is tidy and the sauna was a great bonus! The bar had a nice atmosphere with live music to add to the atmosphere. I was given gifted a bottle of bubbles for my birthday which was lovely.

We were treated like royalty, but that is not unusual for this venue. We rarely order in, but this time we did. My wife had the gnocchi, I had the salmon with chorizo. I would have never thought to put those two together, but the way they did it, it worked! The room was wonderful. The help is very attentive. They seem to be able to guess what you need next. Amazing training or amazing people, not sure which. I suspect it is a bit of both.
