We had a fantastic stay here. Unfortunately it was for only one night! The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful, especially Josh who we had on the front desk. We got an upgraded room which was huge with a nice view. The bed was comfortable and the welcome gift of an ice cold bottle of white wine was well received! Thanks for th great stay.
I need to do this review so that anyone wanting to stay in Sydney, should come to this Hotel.. From the moment of arrival, the staff were so friendly, the lovely valet made sure the taxi driver from the airport didn't overcharge us, (so unexpectedly kind of him).. After checking in, with a warm welcome, we went to the room, which was clean and perfect! The beds, are so comfortable! We have had a few nights sleeing here and we are waking up refreshed and relaxed...which is what holidays are all about.. Need to also give special shoutout to James, who went the extra mile to help a couple of tourist that had no clue how to get to a destination outside the city, he personally made sure we got there, quickly and cheaply.. I will never go anywhere else when I stay in Sydney.. It felt like home, but I was treated like a Queen, they go over and above to make you feel very special. Thank you ParkRoyal Ps. The restaurant Abode, is also well worth trying, lovely staff and to die for dessert!
We stayed for a few nights prior to our cruise. Our stay was organised by a travel agent but we realised we would arrive in Sydney at 6am and would need to take our room earlier than the standard check in time so we arranged an additional night stay to allow us to use the room. There was a mix up due to the split booking and booking name but neither of these were fault of the hotel and after a short wait they did manage to resolve everything and get our room key. The room was spacious and clean. It did feel quite dark due to the furnishings and a lot of surrounding buildings made it feel light it didnt get a lot of light. We did hear quite a lot of noise from a family in a nearby room as the kids seemed to be trampolining on the floor late at night. Not the hotels fault but better sound proofing in the rooms would be better. We booked breakfast a couple of times. This was buffet style with hot and cold options. There was lots to choose from and all very good. There was an egg station so I had a fresh omelette made by a superb chef. However on the second day another chef seemed to be really struggling to cook omelette and fried eggs so my over easy egg was over done. The location is a few minutes walk from darling harbour which is a good area to walk around. They key attractions in Sydney are walkable if youre fit and healthy but bear in mind its around 35 minutes to walk to the Opera House so location wise you may need ubers. I didn't see any near by tram stops but I'm sure public transport is nearby too.
This is a delayed review as I stayed at the place back in July 2025 but I think it deserves the review. I booked the room just a night before due to some mishaps from other hotels and got a very good deal. Absolutely loved the hotel room and service. The hotel staff greeted us politely from the moment we exited our taxi. The receptionist were quick to check us in and gave us clear explanation of the hotel. We had a clean spacious room, great hospitality, near to station. The gym closes at 10pm which is slightly early for me but not a big deal. I would definitely stay here again.
I am here right now. The staff are fantastic. I have a club room and the first night I was here it looked like the club room hadn't been cleaned all day. Empty glasses everywhere, on all the tables. I feel the club room falls way short of what you would expect. The kettle in our room boils to oblivion and doesn't knock itself off. The socket switch plate on entry fell off the wall . The dressing gowns look like they have been boil washed a hundred times with teenagers' black socks. They need to be binned and replaced . This was an indulgence booking for our 25th wedding anniversary. Very disappointing, as this cost way above our budget.
