Sheraton Grand is a slightly aging property and holds up as one of the lower end 5-star property in Sydney. If you are looking for the modern, clean, contemporary hotel, Sheraton isn't it. It is very classy, and again, showing its age despite parts of the hotel and room clearly renovated recently. The form and structure are all there - whether it is a clean room, modern bathroom and shower, or even the lounge on the 21st floor. But behidn the veneer of a modern 5-star hotel, the age shows easily through older carpets, couches, and railings, lights, etc. You just know that whenever they renovated it last, they didn't go "deep". But fortunately, they kept all the classical friendly hospitality. The location is great. Not in the middle of the shopping madness but rather facing Hyde Park. However, just behind the hotel is all of Sydney's luxury boutiques and malls. You'll find plenty of tihngs to eat and shop. Perfect for someone who has come for shopping. Easy walk to Circular Quay or Central - I would say it is exactly in the mid-point between the two. You're never more than 15 mins walk away from any and every transportation. Highly recommend for families who are visiting Sydney for shopping.

15-16 Dec Thanks to all the staff for the friendly service, especially Tom at reception who made us feel more than welcome, and also Sakunrat who went above to make our stay comfortable. The room was lovely with an amazing view of Hyde Park, so we decided to book an extra night. Breakfast was great, with all staff being welcoming. On the next day, we had some drinks at the bar and the lady who served us was efficient and very attentive. A wonderful stay. Highly recommended.

Your hotel totally ruined our late November trip. We were booked into a room with club lounge access. At check in at 9 am we were told that was not the case despite having a non refundable booking for that room type. After checking thoroughly we were given the correct room type. We left our luggage and came back at 3 pm for the actually check in and the reception got the room type wrong again. I was so upset and you guys promised to send me fruit platter. That of course didn’t happen at all and I complained the following day. You sent a manager to meet me outside the club lounge and I accepted your goodwill. A fruit platter also arrived after that and I thought the nightmare was over. After check out your terminals kept trying to run my credit card a few times. I had to write to you to look into this issue. Then the last straw. MORE THAN THREE WEEKS AFTER CHECK OUT YOU DEBITED MY CREDIT CARD WITHOUT ASKING ME FIRST FOR A MISSING ADAPTOR CHARGE OF $30! I didn’t even use any adaptor in the room. I called your hotel to complain and you said you would look into it. Few hours later the charge is still there! I complained to Marriott afterward. Your hotel from the reservation to the billings for my stay is a total mess. Nothing but a mess. A very irate and unhappy customer three weeks after stay

The location was very good, so it was convenient to get around the city and the airport. I specially wish to express my gratitude to the kindness of Dan Song, the reception manager, and Michell for her wonderful service with her beautiful smile during breakfast. Drinking champagne while watching Hyde Park in the club room was one way to enjoy the trip. I would like to visit this hotel again next time.

The Sheraton Hyde Park is such a great place to stay. The location is perfect for shopping, site-seeing eg. St Mary’s Cathedral, The Rocks, Sydney Opera House. The staff are very helpful and friendly from the moment you arrive. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. We had such a great nights sleep. The breakfasts are delicious and the bar area and dining are perfect to enjoy some drinks and freshly prepared meals.
