Overlooking Albert Park Lake, Pullman and Mercure Albert Park boasts room for 1600 guests cocktail-style, or 1400 seated. It's an impressive space, to say the least. Crown Melbourne's Palladium is one of the city's most well-known large-scale event spaces. And with a capacity of up to 2,500 guests, it's unsurprising. Some of Melbourne's largest and most lavish and boundary-pushing events have used the Crown Palladium as their setting.

Essendon Fields, Melbourne

Seating: 1300 Standing: 1310

The Australian Events Centre at Hyatt Place is one of the newest (and biggest) additions to Melbourne. It's a purpose-built events facility, for international conferences to launches, to grand-scale celebrations. Its huge and modern main space is easily subdivided, without any pesky pillars to get in the way.

Southbank, Melbourne

Seating: 450 Standing: 1100

This gorgeous, towering event space is eclipsed by one thing: the view from its floor-to-ceiling windows. Metropolis Events boasts an enviable address, on the top floor of the Southgate complex, overlooking the Yarra and the city skyline. Metropolis also offers up room for 1100 guests, a 17-metre high dome and an elegant interior.

Docklands, Melbourne

Yep, Marvel Stadium is available for events. Aside from welcoming millions of fans through its sizeable doors since opening, and hosting hundreds and hundreds of sporting matches, Marvel Stadium also plays hot to some of the biggest events going around. Located in the heart of Melbourne's business district, CQ Functions combines a versatile conference space with the style CQ Bar, Lanai Restaurant, and Blue Diamond all there within arm's reach for when the straight-laced portion of the event is done.

Carlton, Melbourne

Seating: 1000 Standing: 2000

Who doesn't love Melbourne Museum? Post-modern design, all those exhibits, a beautiful setting, and dinosaurs. And a huge range of incredibly unique event spaces available for use. Eight main galleries are available, but the Main Foyer & Walk combination is the largest, with room for up to 2000 cocktail-style. Great for corporate events, launches, and unique celebrations.

The Plaza Ballroom is oozing history and elegance, with its life having started way back in the 1920s. The space has been reconstructed to return to its former beauty, all Spanish Rococo architecture and towering ceilings. The Timber Yard has enough space to host you, all your friends, family, their neighbours, colleagues and village. With a cocktail capacity maxing out at 1,500 people, you won't be short of space at this trendy, pretty venue.

Melbourne's premier and award-winning function centre, Grand Star Reception's imperial room boasts a large parquetry dance floor with fully adjustable lights to set the mood for 1000 people. Intimate, yet elegant and exapnsive.

Melbourne CBD, Melbourne

Seating: 180 Standing: 1000

A huge marble bar and columns make The Trust a heritage statement venue in the heart of the CBD. Its enormous capacity also means you can host the biggest of parties here, without leaving the CBD.

Coburg, Melbourne

Seating: 400 Standing: 1000

Head out to Coburg and you'll find Batman Royale, a huge industrial-style space with enough room for 1200 guests within their Lieutenant Room. Batman Royale has played host to festivals, exhibitions, and unique corporate events.

Seating: 8500 Standing: 3000

You'd expect Melbourne & Olympic Parks to offer up a few of Melbourne's largest event spaces, right? This is the home of Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena, Hisense Arena, AAMI Park and a dedicated function centre. High tech, modern and big enough for what you're planning.
