Reviews for Hyatt Hotel Canberra

Staff were so lovely. From the beginning we had a legend named Tom who helped us with our tonne of bags and was so happy and supportive. Dahlene was the housekeeping staff member who looked after us for our 3 day stay, she was excellent. The only negatives for me were the bedding, it isn't modular sheets it is just one chunky blanket which you stuck with and I found it too hot. Other than that, no complaints from me

Loved this hotel! We stayed there for a few days in January. It’s gorgeous, luxurious, and the rooms are very spacious. The service is excellent - everyone was kind and welcoming. The breakfast was fabulous! We really wanted to try high tea, but couldn’t get our act together as we were traveling with two little kids. The hotel flooded when we were there (torrential rain!). Our room was on the ground floor and got flooded. They moved us to the top floor. We had tons of luggage and they moved all our bags for us then gave us free drinks for the trouble. The gym was also fabulous - tons of excellent equipment. We didn’t try the pool, but it looked nice. Location was fine, depending on what you’re looking for. The lake was right there and we enjoyed nice walks around it. There were a couple of restaurant options nearby, besides the ones at the hotel. Highly recommend.

Amazing Hotel, the Rooms were quite spacious and the bathroom with a tub and shower was beautiful. Le Labo products were my personal highlight and the service of the staff was without question outstanding. Piano players from time to time and very elegant flair throughout the hotel. I also visitors the clubhouse for the pool and spa are, a little small but enough to relax after a long day.

I am 40 years old and travel frequently for work. We stayed at the Hyatt Canberra for 3 nights in late December with my wife and our 3 year old. Our room was on level 3. The positives were: spacious room and bathroom, good water pressure in the shower, big bath, free parking for 3 hours at the back of the hotel and overnight after 5:30pm. Hotel is close to Parliament House and the lake. The negatives were: very soft mattress and pillow that seemed old and worn out, remote with flat batteries, mould in the shower grout. The first night was the worst sleep I ever had in a hotel, I woke up with a sore neck and back. The location was quiet but not convenient, it was a 5 minute drive to the city and restaurants. Parking was scarce in the city, so it was hard to find a place to eat. Next time, we would prefer a city hotel with more comfort and convenience. After the first night I raised my concerns about pillow, bed and remote and to there credit they did quickly have the pillows replaced and replaced batteries in remote but I guess nothing could have been done about the poor bed mattress. We did not try the hospitality and cannot comment.

We didn’t stay at the Park Hyatt but decided to have breakfast here as our favourite Cafe has permanently closed. The breakfast at the Park Hyatt Canberra was a highlight of the weekend. The buffet offered a wide selection of high-quality dishes, including freshly baked pastries, a variety of hot dishes, and a generous selection of fresh fruits and juices. The hotel's elegant ambiance and attention to detail immediately set a luxurious tone, the family has decided that the Park Hyatt will be our accommodation when we return to Canberra.
