Reviews for Hotel Kurrajong

The Kurrajong Hotel is a perfect blend of traditional style with a modern touch. The historical building has a lot of history surrounding it, mostly involving former prime minister Ben Chifley. Walking through the old corridors, you are greeted with portraits of political figures, historic information, and well-preserved architecture. The rooms stay true to the traditional style with its choice of colours, furnishings, and overall feel. The bathrooms are all modern and roomy. Only negatives when it comes to the Kurrajong is the small amount of available parking.

This iconic heritage hotel employs friendly, helpful and professional staff who made us feel welcome and comfortable right away. The location is wonderfully quiet outside of business hours and Parliamentary sitting days. Parking our car on site was easy. The room was small but completely adequate with some heritage features, nice, very clean with new furnishings, quality linen and modern bathroom. The best features of this beautiful old hotel are the heritage features that give this building so much character, the lounge, courtyard gardens, and restaurant/bar area with many different seating areas. I liked the glass enclosed veranda for having our breakfast as it had a view of the beautiful gardens. This hotel has excellent menu options. All our meals were well presented and prepared. A perfect place for a rest and as a base to see the best Canberra has to offer.

Hotel Kurrajong is a perfect blend between old and new. The historic reverence that adorns the walls is immersive and educational, whilst the rooms and amenities are modern and inviting. Perfectly located close to transport and dining options including a supermarket makes it a hands down winner.

The restaurant was lovely and impressed by the staff member he was very polite and friendly and couldn't do enough for you. My partner and I will be back in march. The food was delicious and very yummy. The ambience is fantastic. It's definitely a must for fine food dining . The wagu steak was superb with the barbecued prawns.

The Kurrajong Hotel offers a pleasant ambiance and an ideal location. Room service is efficient, but the restaurant has limited options at a high price point. Our joint room had a jammed connecting door, but the manager swiftly resolved the issue by relocating us to alternative rooms. Overall, a satisfactory stay marred slightly by restaurant limitations and a maintenance issue.
