Eastside Bar and Grill is a great restaurant and just one of many in the food precinct of Kensington st at Broadway Sydney. The restaurant is tastefully decorated with a great looking bar, Its all about the meat and they do it very well with a large selection for either sharing or singular plates, I had the tenderloin and it litterally almost melted in my mouth - so well cooked, the couple with us shared a Tbone of Jurassic proportions and managed to devour every morsel with extreme gusto, my Wife had the lamb rump but she recomends a different choice as it was a little fatty and chewy. We were a bit disapointed they had run out of oysters. We had a charcouterie to share and it was fresh and a great starter. The greens, vegetables and salads were all fantastic to acompany the protein. When you order a meat to share it is brought out on a trolley and carved/sliced at your table you are then invited to season your meat, a nice bit of theatre to break the evening. A really good wine menu mostly Australian with some French and a small selection of the standard cocktails on offer. It didnt seem like a great place for young kids. The wait staff are only a few but very well trained and efficient with multiple skills they are very friendly and i couldnt fault them, I think they would struggle with a really busy Saturday night crowd. Parking is difficult in the area so look for parking stations nearby. The restaurant is on the first floor with a lift so no problem for disabled access. The food is very good, the meat is excellent but you will pay for the wagyu cuts. We will go back when in need of a great steak. The only thing i would say is next time i go i would ask they didnt cut my steak for me as i can mange that myself, share cuts and the theatre of cutting at the table is ok just they should leave the smaller cuts alone. Apart from that the atmosphere was good with some calm music creating a welcoming atmosphere.

This restaurant will always have a special place in my heart. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with warm and attentive service that makes you feel right at home. The quality of the food is truly outstanding — every dish is prepared with care and full of flavor. The meat cuts, in particular, are simply extraordinary: tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. And the desserts? Absolutely divine. Each bite is a sweet experience that perfectly rounds off the meal. Whether it’s your first visit or your tenth, the high standards remain the same. It’s a place that invites you to come back again and again, and I definitely will. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great food and exceptional service.

We went to the restaurant on a Friday evening without booking, in a group of 12 people. Luckily we were offered a big table in just 5 minutes. Food was pretty good. The beef cutting show was quite a gorgeous one which they also invite one of us to spray salt on it which was quite interesting. Yet it was quite expensive. It would be good for group meal or company team building dinner.

The steak is overrated, it was slightly overcooked which I ordered it for medium rare. The truffle mash was good though. Overall a fair restaurant but may not revisit in the soon future.

Hands down the best steak in Sydney! Eastside Bar & Grill has quickly become one of our top steak spots. From the moment we walked in, we're provided a warm welcome and detailed steak menu insights. Davide, the Ops Manager, and the team were just fantastic! The grass-fed Tomahawk was a standout, especially with their $98 Tomahawk Tuesday deal we lucked out on. The beef brisket, slow-cooked for 3 days, was melt-in-the-mouth perfection. We don't normally eat fries or bread, but the Wagyu fat sweet potato wedges and focaccia were made differently and also deliciously so was so worth the try! With its cosy, candle-lit atmosphere, we’ll definitely be back!
