Reviews for Eastside Bar and Grill

We went to the restaurant on a Friday evening without booking, in a group of 12 people. Luckily we were offered a big table in just 5 minutes. Food was pretty good. The beef cutting show was quite a gorgeous one which they also invite one of us to spray salt on it which was quite interesting. Yet it was quite expensive. Actually it would be my first choice without company sponsor.

Hands down the best steak in Sydney! Eastside Bar & Grill has quickly become one of our top steak spots. From the moment we walked in, we're provided a warm welcome and detailed steak menu insights. Davide, the Ops Manager, and the team were just fantastic! The grass-fed Tomahawk was a standout, especially with their $98 Tomahawk Tuesday deal we lucked out on. The beef brisket, slow-cooked for 3 days, was melt-in-the-mouth perfection. We don't normally eat fries or bread, but the Wagyu fat sweet potato wedges and focaccia were made differently and also deliciously so was so worth the try! With its cosy, candle-lit atmosphere, we’ll definitely be back!

Really enjoyed the butchers banquet A great selection of meats and the sides were great Had a really tasty martini The brisket was a little fatty but plenty of other meats to enjoy

After seeing promos about this restaurant on social media about it's all can eat meat cuts on Wednesday's I thought I'd go try it out and it honestly didn't live up to the hype in my personal opinion the first meat cut that I was served was very chewy and not salted enough leaving just a tasteless piece of meat. The other cuts that were served weren't anything special either. Although the side dishes were very good. I wouldn't come back to eat here after my experience but everyone's taste buds are different and other's may enjoy the meats. Just speaking from my own personal experience feel free to go and give this place a go if you desire.

First thing you notice on entering is the intimate, candle lit atmosphere and the bar looks brilliant. The table with the giant candle and flowers looks really special with the lighting above creating a bit of a whimsical mood. The staff were super friendly, well dressed, informative and very attentive and we never had to look for them because they were always there when we needed them. The theatre of the meat being cooked and sliced in front of us was special. I highly recommend the guava cocktail - it's delish! I made the mistake of ordering the octopus - it was so tough and chewy that it was really hard to eat so the best thing on the plate was the sweet potato mash. We also ordered olives and foccacia starters that were lovely and it was lucky we ordered the truffle mash (YUM!) because it hit the spot. Quite disappointed with the octopus - the price of the dish was ridiculous considering (I know, who orders seafood at a steak place? But I have medical requirements.) As much as the rest of the starters and mains we ordered were tasty, be prepared for the bill shock!
