Reviews for Moxy Sydney Airport

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, rooms were clean and neat, TV in room was great, beds very comfortable and own private bathroom and shower also very clean. There is no fridge in room so try not to bring perishable food. Bar and food downstairs is amazing! And only a short distance from Airport. Moxy Sydney airport is great for short or long stays. 10/10 would definitely stay here again!

This hotel was unable to organize a shuttle. The driver passed me by twice over the course of an hour, so I had to take a cab. Other reviews point to similar problems since the hotel opened in 2023. If you call for assistance , prepare to sit through at least five minutes of advertising. The transfer fee has been hiked 25% since opening, with no appreciable improvement. At the hotel, I joined a long line (another source of complaints since they opened). No sign of a welcome drink any more. For an airport hotel, Moxy has made some surprising choices: like Australian instead of international electrical sockets (they will happily sell you an adapter). Get there before 10pm if you want much choice of food, else you're facing bar snacks or a fry up. They don't publish their prices online, so I'm sharing the menus that were available. A buffet breakfast was A$29 in December 2024. The bedrooms are 'fun' which means hooks on the wall instead of a cupboard, and the washbasin is in the room rather, than the bathroom. Acoustics are horrid with a bare concrete ceiling. The room price might look competitive, but they charge airport prices for everything else.

I'm of mixed opinions on this location. Checking in is extremely slow, but the staff were polite and friendly. The building is terrific but difficult to get to if you are self driving and aren't used to driving around the airports. The loft room was compact and very clean, however the queen bed of revolting. Very uncomfortable, claustrophobic and the pillows were very thin. Did not get any sleep at all whilst there and left for our holiday in the morning quite exhausted and mad. The breakfast was not very nice either as was dinner the night before. Bar staff made two errors in meal order and almost gave my 10 year old a glass of wine. Nobody ordered alcohol. The shuttle and long term storage of my car were great.

Perfect overnight stay before flying out from the international airport. The hotel is perfectly positioned 5 minutes away from the airport and the hotel can arrange pickup and drop off with their own bus. A beautiful stylish lobby which forms part of reception, a bar and a large comfortable lounge. All of the team managing the hotel are friendly, professional and make you feel at home. Rooms are very well laid out, comfortable and have everything you need. Food options are also very good from light grab and go bites to table service food. It was a perfect stay before a long flight. This is now my go to hotel before flying out

Due to bad weather, resulting in a missed flight, Qantas put us up for a night at the Moxy Hotel and boy, they did not disappoint us. I can honestly say that it was one of the best stays that I have had. The quirkiness starts when you walk in the door. The staff were amazing, the food and bar service was excellent and the rooms were the big difference and where the quirkiness was. The laundry facilities were great, as was the ability to access additional needs from the storeroom like an additional pillow, blanket and even toilet paper! The vibe downstairs was brilliant and it appeared that everyone in the hotel last night was in the bar/restaurant enjoying their dinner, their drinks or the games on offer. Overall, it was a fantastic and brief stay and highly recommended it if you need to be close to Sydney Airport.
