A beautiful hotel which unfortunately has fallen into a bit of a state of disrepair. It is lovely to see such a beautiful old building in a serene location but from stained marble to cobwebs in the window there are things to be desired in how it is being kept. We had the high tea which was fairly small and while only I am gluten free, the entire tea was gluten free which is not ideal considering the gluten free options weren’t the best.

Staying at The Robertson Hotel was like stepping back in time, in the best possible way. This beautiful vintage hotel is a hidden gem, filled with old-world charm and character. The crackling wood fireplaces and beautifully curated antique furniture create a warm, nostalgic atmosphere. Every corner is thoughtfully adorned with stunning flower vases, adding a fresh, vibrant touch to the classic decor. The rooms are cozy yet sophisticated, and the food is delicious, perfectly complementing the hotel’s timeless appeal. It’s a truly memorable escape where history and comfort meet.

A grand old hotel, nice and haunted. Beautiful historic building, but 0 ventilation which made the room very stuffy, windows couldn’t open and no ventilation system. Even though it was cold outside the room was very hot. There was also a septic smell in our room when we arrived. A beautiful area and beautiful old hotel nonetheless.

Very unique historic stay. It felt like stepping back into the 1920s as there are so many original features left in the hotel. The location is very quiet and we had a good nights sleep. There are some things that aren’t so good. For example our window pane was broken from top to bottom and taped together. The outside of the window was covered in cobwebs which made it hard to see anything out of. We also had an original corner sink from the 1920s in our room that was dripping water, completely cracked from top to bottom, and a waste paper basket underneath was catching the water. The staff were friendly and helpful and the gardens are quite interesting around the hotel. The pool looked well-maintained. If it had been warmer we would have used it.

The food was nothing short of spectacular! Every dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, with our guests raving about each bite. The culinary team at The Robertson Hotel truly exceeded our expectations, and the menu was a highlight of the celebration. The staff were amazing, going above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. They were attentive, friendly, and made us feel incredibly special. We also owe a huge thank you to Rebecca, our wedding coordinator, who was a true star. She took care of every detail with such grace and professionalism, making sure that everything was seamless and allowing us to fully enjoy our day. We couldn’t be happier with our experience at The Robertson Hotel, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stunning venue with exceptional service. Thank you to the entire team for making our wedding day unforgettable!
