The Mog Champ
The Mog Champ sends his regards. Enjoyed a nice Melbourne Cup here lunch recently and won a little bit of betting as well which was fun and nice for the day! For food, I ordered a half-chook with potato salad. It was delicious despite how they cooked it differently there! The pub is great in general and we sat at the back with a large TV to watch the horse races on, the service was quick and friendly and it's a fine atmosphere in general. Funky small pub in the back of Surry Hills putting out some delicious food (forgot to take photos). Make sure you get the Sausage platter and the Scotch Fillet!

Super friendly staff Nice place to sit in a some relatively quite neighbourhood and they have a lot of choices with alcohol and food However why, ow why do my chips taste like fish??? This is disgusting Nice to have a drink, but don’t order the food, they clearly don’t change the oil

Came for dinner. Started with $1 wings. The smoked chicken sounded like a great option, one had half a chicken with generous sides, I had the chicken roll, the chicken was tender and the gravy was delicious as were the chips, but thought it was a bit pricey for $25 though. One friend ordered a steak with an extra side of brocollini, he was disappointed that he got 4 strands for $8.50. Others also ordered steak which they wanted medium rare, but the steaks were thin that they were medium to well done. The staff are friendly, it was a busy night and it wasn't a long wait for the food. The best part is that it's dog friendly.

Have been here many times and always loved the good and the atmosphere :) The last visit before last week was about 8 years ago, the service and food are still on Par!! I made a reservation for 6:30 pm for 6 on Friday night.. typical Friday was busy. The Royale Cheese burger was a go to 8 years ago and still is. On Fridays they have $1 wings with a minimum of 6.. ordered 25 and a porterhouse steak, went down so good :)!! It's definitely a Surry Hills favourite. My mates ordered food on the table QR code, but I ordered at the bar cause the $1 dollar wings wasn't working on the app, and the wings come basted in 3 types of flavours but I wanted it plane which wasn't an option The guy who took my order was super friendly and accommodating Definitely keen for a revisit some time soon :)
